What was the good news? (That Jesus is risen). How do you think the women felt? What was the message the men gave to the women? What had Jesus told them to remember? How do you think the eleven disciples felt when they heard the news from the women?

Task: Re-read the story. With an adult, think about the special news the women told the disciples. - What words do you think they used and how do you think they felt? - Record this as a diary entry which begins with: You will never believe what happened today…

Example:

Dear Diary,

You will never believe what happened today! I decided to go and visit Jesus’s tomb with my friend but when I arrived the stone at the entrance had been rolled away. So, we went inside and to my surprise Jesus’s body had disappeared! I was so surprised and shocked! Suddenly we saw a bright light and two men dressed in white appeared and told us that Jesus was risen. I could not believe what had happened, so I ran away and told all my friends and Jesus’s disciples the good news!
