QUICK START GUIDE

Overview Sycret Cloud App allows Android smart phone user to select and encrypt any photo, video, and file on the phone or in the selected cloud storage such as Dropbox or Google Drive by using the encryption engine embedded in the Sycret Cloud card. After the encryption is done, the encrypted file(s) is stored in the memory of the Sycret Cloud card or in the selected Cloud storage.

Getting started Android phone (w/Sycret Cloud card)

FeaturesNobody can decrypt the encrypted files without your Sycret Cloud card and user PIN.

Your Sycret Cloud card is portable from phone to phone and you can immediately decrypt your encrypted data either from the Sycret Cloud card or the Cloud storage using your new device.

All encryption algorithms are certified by NIST of USA and the security IC is certified by Common Criteria EAL 5+.

APP Authentication: The User PIN is a 4-digit to 16-digit numeric passcode used for authentication to get access to Sycret Cloud APP. The Sycret Cloud card will be locked after 10 wrong attempts.

System RequirementsAndroid 4.0 or higher versions

MicroSD slot and microSD OTG reader support (or microSD to SD adapter in SD slot)

1) How to start SYCRET Cloud1-1. Download APP “Sycret Cloud” from Google Play Store.

1-2. Insert Sycret Cloud card into your Android phone before using the app.

Files ENCRYPTIONEncrypting files stored in the device’s memory and Sycret Cloud card.

Select and tap files to store the same into the Sycret Cloud card or uploaded the same to cloud storages.

You can view your encrypted files stored in Sycret Cloud card by selecting and tapping the icon to access your encrypted files.

2-1. Set up your password (user PIN).2-2. For the first-time use, the RSA key pair used for file encryption functionality will be generated by Sycret Text card upon the first-run initialization process. It takes approximately two minutes.2-3. You will be asked to answer three security questions.

*Note: During the initialization process, please - Make sure your Android phone won’t run out of power - DO NOT force stopping Sycret Text app, umount, or remove Sycret Text card - DO NOT turn off your Android phone or remove battery

Signing in with DROPBOX / GOOGLE DRIVE1) Log into the Dropbox.

2) Tap Dropbox or Google Drive and follow the on-screen

instructions to sign in to your Dropbox/Google Drive account.

Encrypting your files in the cloud storages1) Select and tap Dropbox or Google Drive.

2) Tap to explore photos, videos, documents, or other files stored in the

selected could storage for encryption functionality.

3) You can select and tap Dropbox or Google Drive to browse your encrypted files stored in the selected cloud storage.

Advanced SettingsBring the Navigation Drawer onto the screen by tapping icon in the upper left corner. You can reset the User PIN, enable/disable the privacy protection, or check for Sycret Cloud app update in Google Play store.

Tap About to see app version and find a link to online user manual.

Tap Exit to close the Sycret Cloud app.

Take an encrypted photoTap to take a photo via your camera and then to encrypt it immediately.

NoteIf your Android phone is running with KitKat 4.4 or higher version, please unmount or remove Sycret Cloud card from your phone while installing and un-installing Sycret Cloud app on your Android phone.

For large data transfer, it is recommended to use the WiFi network.

Some content may differ from your device depending on the device’s model, device’s software version or your telephony service provider.

Dropbox or Google Drive app and service may not be available depending on the region, service provider, or device manufacturer.

Always update your Sycret Cloud app by downloading the latest version in GooglePlay store. Specifications are subject to change without notice.
