Piping down the valleys wild, Piping songs of pleasant glee,On a cloud I saw a child, And he laughing said to me:

Pipe a song about a lamb! So I piped with merry cheer.Piper, pipe that song again. So I piped: He wept to hear.

Once the poet was playing his pipe in the wild valley. He was playing songs of happiness. He happened to see a child on a cloud. The child laughed and spoke to him. The child asked him to play him a song about a lamb. The poet did it with great joy. The child asked the poet to play it again.
