Diversity isn't something one should be promoting out of a sense of responsibility or guilt. Diversity is one of the most critical measures of a social group's health and viability. By taking cues from the fields of evolutionary biology, sociology and economics, the software industry can be advanced into a new (and exciting!) era of creative problem-solving.Not doing so may result in catastrophic failure.
