We remain focused on the physical well-being our of faith community, parish volunteers, staff, and

the wider community.

Thank you for continuing to implement the safety precautions already in place to diminish the spread of COVID-19 when attending Mass and visiting the parish campus, in the spirit of the common good and for the protection of our parish community.

• In the spirit of care for fellow parishioners, wearing a face mask when attending Mass and while on the church campus. • Maintaining physical distancing and spacing when on parish property, keeping at least 6 feet from others at all times. • Staying home if you are feeling sick or have a fever; if a family member is ill or vulnerable, or if you have been traveling or in large crowds, or at risk, because of a preexisting condition or age. • The preferred method to receive Holy Communion during this time is in the hand. Receiving in the hand is safer for the faithful, for the parish priests, and for everyone receiving Holy Communion. • While the church, chapel, and parish campus, are sanitized on a regular basis there remains a risk of exposure any time there is contact with others. Those who are vulnerable, sick, or concerned about exposure should remain at home limiting contact with others. • The maximum number allowed at each Mass is 25% of full capacity, which is 235 parishioners. In order to have an accurate count, please use the main entrance of the church to enter. You may use all exit doors at the end of Mass. • Maintaining individual hygiene; washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

The Sunday Obligation is dispensed. To watch our 11 AM Sunday live stream Mass visit www.facebook.com/HolySpiritTempe

GOD’S WORDS Each day we are bombarded with thousands of words. From the moment our clock ra-dios click on in the morning, until the last moment of the day when the television is turned off or someone bids us “good-night,” our life is filled with words. Some words that we hear bring news that leaves us feeling low. Some words lift our spirits. Many of the words we hear are trying to get us to buy something. Some words are hurtful. Today the Church focuses our attention on hearing the word of God. Are God’s words just more of the same—part of the endless stream of words that flow into our ears each day? The chal-lenge today is to allow God’s word to inspire us in new ways so that our outlook and atti-tudes align themselves more closely with the heart and mind of Christ Jesus. Copyright © J. S.
