Installation Instructions:1. Removeallcomponentsfrompackaging.2. Selectdesiredareatomountthecontrolbox.

Note:Werecommendmountingthecontrolboxataheightof6feetorless.Thechemicalsuctionlinesmustreachthebottomofthechemicalcontainer.Thebottomofthechemicalcontainershouldnotbepositionedhigherthanthebottomofthecontrolbox.

3. Attachthecontrolboxmountingfeettothebackofthecontrolbox,usingthefourscrewsprovidedinthepartspackage.

4. Mountthecontrolboxtothewallusingfourofthescrewsandplasticanchorsprovidedinthepartspackage.Note:Todrillholesfortheplasticanchors,usea5/16inchdrillbit.

5. Mountthehosehangerinaconvenientlocationusingtheremainingtwoscrewsandanchorsprovidedinthepartspackage.

6. Attachthedischargehoseassemblytothedischargehosebarb(HB1234)andsecureitwiththelargerhoseclampprovidedinthepartspackage.

7. Connecttheairinlethosebarb(HBSS1438)providedinthepartspackagetotheairinletvalve(BVB14)locatedonthesideofthecontrolbox.Thenattacha3/8inchI.D.airlinefromyouraircompressortotheairinlethosebarb,andsecureitwiththesmallerhoseclampprovidedinthepartspackage.

8. Connectawaterlinetothewaterinletfitting(SNB34GH).Note:Aback-flowpreventermustbeinstalledinthewaterline–checklocalplumbingcodestoensureproperinstallation.

9. Insertthepropermeteringtipsandconnectthechemicalintakelinestotheinletbarbs.Note:Usetheincludedmeteringtipcolorchartstodeterminetheappropriatemeteringtipbasedontheproductanddilutionrateyouwillbeusing.

10.Placetheotherendofeachchemicalintakelineintoachemicalcontainer.

Operation Instructions:1. Slowlyopenthedischargevalve(HV34)tobeginfoaming.

Thedischargevalveshouldbecompletelyopenwhilefoaming.

2. Adjusttheneedlevalve(NV14Y),locatedinsidethecontrolbox,toregulatethewetnessordrynessofthefoamfollowingthestepsbelow:a. Closeneedlevalve(NV14Y)completelyinclockwise

direction.b. Openneedlevalve(NV14Y)incounter-clockwise

direction3completeturns.c. Continuetoopenneedlevalvein¼turnincrements,

allowing30secondsbetweenadjustments,untildesiredconsistencyoffoamisachieved.

After Use Instructions:1. Placethechemicalsuctionlineintoacontainerofwater.2. Openthedischargevalve(HV34),andallowtheunittobe

flushedwithwaterforapproximately2-4minutesoruntilallchemicalhasbeendischargedfromsystem.

3. Closeairinletvalve(BVB14).4. Shutoffthewatersupplytotheunit.5. Openthedischargevalvetorelieveanypressure

remainingintheunit.6. Closethedischargevalveafterallpressurehasbeen

relievedfromtheunit.Storetheunitwiththedischargevalveintheclosedposition.

Maintenance Instructions:Tokeepyourfoamunitoperatingproperly,periodicallyperformthefollowingmaintenanceprocedures:Note:Beforeperforminganymaintenance,ensurethattheunithasbeendisconnectedfromtheair/watersupplyanddepressurizedaccordingtothe“AfterUseInstructions”above.• Inspectthepump(P56/P56K/P56V)forwearandleaks.• Inspectallhosesforleaksorexcessivewear.Makesureall

hoseclampsareingoodconditionandproperlysecured.• Replacethefilterlocatedwithintheairregulator(R25)as

needed.Cleanbyunthreadingtheairregulatorbowlfromtheairregulator(R25).

• Checkthechemicalmeteringtips,intakelinesandstrainersfordebrisandcleanasneeded.

• Draintheaircompressortankonaregularbasistohelpextendpumplife.Anairsourcewithahighmoisturecontentwillacceleratepumpwear.Note:Iftheairsourcehasahighmoisturecontent,youmaywishtoinstallawaterseparator(WS-20CFM)beforetheunit.

Troubleshooting Instructions:• Checktoensurethatthedischargehoseisuncoiled

properly,andthattherearenokinksthatcouldobstructfluidflow.

• Checktheairregulatorbowlandairfilterfordebrissuchaswater,oil,orrustparticles.Cleanbyunthreadingtheairregulatorbowlfromtheairregulator(R25).

• Ifairpassesthroughthepump(P56/P56K/P56V)withoutcycling,thepumpneedstobereplaced.

• Ifsolutionbacksupintotheairregulatorbowl,thecheckvalve(CV38-AP)needstobereplaced.

• Checkforproperairpressureontheairgauge(AG100).Theairregulator(R25)isfactorysetat50psi(3.4bar).Operatingrangeis40to80psi(3to5bar)with5to10CFM(141.6to283.3l/min).

• Iftheunitoperatesatareducedpressure: o Checktheaircompressorsupplyingtheunit.Ifthepressureislessthan40psi(3bar),turntheunitoffuntilthecompressorcancatchup.

o Iftheairsupplyis50psi(3.4bar)orabove,checktheairgauge(AG100),whichshouldreadnear50psi(3.4bar).Iftheairgaugereadsmoreorlessthan50psi(3.4bar),adjustthepressurebyturningtheknobonthetopoftheairregulator(R25).

• Checkthechemicalmeteringtips,intakelinesandstrainersfordebrisordamage.Cleanorreplaceasneeded.Topreventdamagetotheunit,strainersmustalwaysbeused.

• Makesureproperfoamingchemicalandconcentrationarebeingused.

• Iftheneedlevalve(NV14Y)isopentoofar,thepump(P56/P56K/P56V)maycycleimproperlyduetolackofairpressure.Ifthisoccurs,closeandreadjusttheneedlevalve(NV14Y)asdescribedinOperationInstruction.

• Iffoamcomesoutwet,nomatterwheretheneedlevalve(NV14Y)ispositioned,thecheckvalve(CV38-AP)mayneedtobereplaced.

• Checkforproperwaterpressureonthewaterpressuregauge(WRG14).Tocheckthepressure:

o Withtheunitrunning,openthedischargevalve(HV60/HV34)andallowtheunittorunforabout1minute.

o Closethedischargevalve(HV60/HV34). o Checkthewaterpressuregauge(WRG14).Thepressureshouldread30psi(2.1bar).

o Ifnecessary,adjustthewaterregulatorusingtheflatheadscrewontheregulatorbody.Thewaterpressureshouldbesetat30psi(2.1bar).Settingthepressurehigherorlowermaydamagetheunitorcauseittomalfunction.
