On behalf of the board, I offer you a very warm welcome to the 28th Grampians Grape Escape.
We are just as excited about the wine, food and music happening this weekend.
This year’s guest chefs Colin Fassnidge and Sarah Glover will offer up some great take home tips and you can also attend a number of masterclasses.
The Barrique will be auctioned once again as a fundraiser and we thank the wineries that contributed to this magnificent Shiraz blend. We wish you a most enjoyable time in the beautiful Grampians region, thank you for your support, and we hope to see in the region again soon.
Kevin Erwin
Chairman, Grampians Grape Escape Inc
Welcome to Victoria, the events capital of Australia and proud hosts of the Grampians Grape Escape.
The Grampians is famous for its amazing mountain ranges, stunning wildlife, and great food and wine options. All of those and more will be on show during the Grampians Grape Escape.
Victoria is home to some of the best regional events in Australia including the Grampians Music Festival, Rainbow Desert Enduro and Lake Bolac Eel Festival.
With more local and international visitors travelling to regional Victoria than ever before, these events give us a great chance to showcase our beautiful regions to new people and we’re proud to support them through the $20 million Regional Events Fund.
Since 2014, the Andrews Labor Government has supported over 180 regional events. These events draw visitors from far and wide keeping our bars, restaurants, and hotels busy and boosting local economies.
That’s why we’re proud to support and stage the Grampians Grape Escape in Halls Gap.
I hope you all enjoy this fantastic event and I encourage everyone to explore everything the Grampians have to offer.
The Hon. Martin Pakula MPMinister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events

COLIN FASSNIDGEMost will know Dublin born chef and restaurateur Colin Fassnidge as a guest judge on top rating program, My Kitchen Rules.Known for his nose to tail cooking philosophy, the Irishman firmly believes the secret to cooking a great dish is planning and “having a bit of love for the food”.A father of two who counts pork, potato, lemon and peas among his favourite ingredients to cook with, you can see Colin in action this weekend:
SAT 4 MAY: 3pm – 3:45pm Lamb Butchery Masterclass with Pyrenees Premium Cuts plus chargrilled lamb back strap (DM)
SUN 5 MAY: 11am – 11.45pmMilk Poached Pork Neck (DM)
SARAH GLOVER For 16 years Sarah Glover has made a career as a chef in Tasmania, Sydney and New York but these days you rarely find her in a kitchen, the outdoors is where she now plies her trade. The fascination with cooking in the wild has long been with Sarah Glover, but was reignited when she returned to Tasmania. There, on the sands of a beach and deep in the heart of the island she first called home, she realised her kitchen didn’t need to be constructed to a metal bench under fluorescent lights, but rather it should – be taken outdoors.Be mesmerised with Sarah’s style this weekend:
SAT 4 MAY: 11.30am - 12:15pm Hung Chicken (DM)
SUN 5 MAY: 1.30pm - 2.15pmHung Lamb (DM)
