Presbyterians work week at Second Chance 21st –25th & 27th

Team Butterfly appreciates the support they received from the community to help this worthy cause and invite anyone in the community who might be interested in participating next year or who just want to walk with a group to join them on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings starting Jan. 20, 2017 at 8 AM beginning at the First Presbyterian Church, 205 S Franklin St. La Grange. We will have a course that allows you to walk the distance that your health and time allows and still end up back at the church at the end of your walk. The Annual Meeting will be held immediately after worship on January 29th. The purpose of the meeting is to hear reports from the standing committees of the Session and to receive the budget and other financial matters from the Treasurer. As required by our policy, the terms of call for the pastor will also be reviewed and recommendations give to the congregation for action. We will elect a trustee and congregational representatives to the Officer Nominating Committee.

Team Butterfly is pleased to report that $1,270 was raised so far to benefit Presbyterian Children’s Home and Services (PCHAS). Way to go First Presbyterian! Thank you for your generous support of PCHAS and Team Butterfly.

Caregivers Event Are you a Caregiver? The Shared Lutheran Ministry is offering an afternoon of R&R for you - Respite and Research, January 29th from 1-4 pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Rutersville. Speakers on topics of "So You're a Caregiver?" "Elder Law" "Financial Resources" "Care Management". There will be a Q&A time with presenters and time for individual questions and vis-iting to share information with other Caregivers. Refreshments served. Free to all. Open to the community.
