Step 1. Push the two Frame sides together, aligning the predrilled holes (Figure 1). Insert and tighten the two Phillips screws.

Step 2. Unscrew and remove the cap and threaded ring from both ends of the Axle. Tip: Retain the metal disk that's inside the cap.

Step 3. Place the triangular ends of the Axle into the matching holes in the Wheels (Figure 2). Replace the threaded rings (Figure 3) on the ends of the Axle. Do not fully tighten until Step 7.

Step 4. Slide the Axle Supports over then ends of the Axle (Figure 4). Important: The flat side of the Axle Support should be againt the threaded ring.

Step 5. Set the Axle Supports on top of the assembled Frame, aligning the holes (Figure 5). Push a Hex Bolt down through each hole and secure by threading a black Knob onto each. Tip: Insert all four Hex Bolts before threading on the Knobs. Be sure that the bolt heads are seated in Axle Supports.

Step 6. Thread the Caps back onto the ends of the Axle (Figure 6). Push the sides of the Frame together while fastening the second Cap. Important: Leave the Caps loose until the end of Step 7.

Step 7. Insert the Wire Basket hangers into the the holes in the Wheels (Figure 7). Loosen the Caps and Threaded Rings, as needed. Then, hand tighten all Axle parts after installing the Baskets. Tip: Insert the end of the Wheel Stop into a hole in the Wheel to hold it in place while you install each Basket.

Step 8. Place the Bottom Tray into the base of the frame (Figure 8).

Step 9. Fill the Planter Boxes with pre-moistened planting mix, such as our Self-Watering Container mix or Eco-co® Coir. Place the Planter Boxes in the Wire Baskets (Figure 9). Add plants, then water thoroughly from the top to settle the soil. Fertilize with a water-soluble fertilizer, such as our fast-acting Easy Grow and Easy Bloom fertilizers. Assembly is complete. Please read the important notes below.

Figure 7 Figure 8 Figure 9

Care and MaintenanceWater the soil from the top after planting, to settle the plant roots and to ensure the soil is moist throughout, and then fill

the reservoir with water through the opening in the Planter Box (see Figure 9). The reservoir holds 6 cups of water. Important: Monitor soil moisture and water the soil from the top, as needed, until the plant roots become well established and the mix remains moist from absorbing water from the reservoir on its own. This may take two months or more, depending on the size and vigor of your plants and other environmental factors. Plants growing outdoors will require much more water than plants growing indoors, for example. Continue to add water to keep the reservoir full.

The Ferris Wheel Planter may be used indoors or out. Important: Bring indoors before freezing temperatures occur to prevent damage to the Planter Boxes. In cold climates, soil and water can freeze and expand, causing containers to crack or split.

Important: The casters on the bottom of the Ferris Wheel Planter are designed for smooth surfaces only. When filled with damp soil and plants, the planter is very heavy. The casters cannot support the heavy load when rolled across rough surfaces. We recommend removing the Planter Boxes or lifting and carrying the planter when moving it over bricks, pavers, stones, timbers and thresholds.
