THE ERGONOMIC OPERATOR ENVIRONMENT

My comfort zone for long days.

Spacious and clearly laid out – my E-SeriesYour work days begin and end, relaxed and satisfied,

in the comfortable cab on the Fendt E-Series. Large,

curved glazed areas and narrow pillars give you a full

view to the outside. Inside, the generous layout of the

cab gives you plenty of space to complete your working

steps comfortably.

Combine perfectly under controlAll operating elements are well-thought out and ergo-

nomically arranged, so that you can control the com-

bine easily and precisely. You can specify the speed and

operate the cutter unit and the unloading tube with the

multifunction lever. You have all the important operat-

ing elements at hand on the console on the right, for

example, for the threshing cylinder speed. The digi-

tal on-board computer shows the speed, tank fill level

and forward speed. The monitor adjusts the brightness,

thanks to day and night modes.

Your harvest, your relaxationA comfortable sitting position is crucial, especially on

long work days. The suspended driver seat absorbs

shock loads reliably. You can set your ideal working posi-

tion with the easily adjustable steering column.

Sensors for the best monitoringAdditional electronic sensors provide deeper insight

with detailed information about your harvesting results.

The loss sensor determines the walker and shaker shoe

losses, which are then shown in the display. The elec-

tric sieve adjustment enables convenient, in-cab adjust-

ment of the sieves.

Control the driving direction, table setting, reel setting, reel speed and pivot the

grain tank unloading tube with only one hand.

The practical control console

You can control the entire combine using the side console of the Fendt E-Series. The digital on-board computer displays

the running machine data. In addition to gear shifting, you can also operate the lights and speeds for the engine, thresh-

ing cylinder and blower here.

Robust grain concaveWith one of the largest concave areas in its power class, the 5185 E drives in the large harvest volumes in the shortest time. The different wire spacings within the concave are the main reason for this: While the wire spacing in the front area is narrow to ensure intensive threshing, the wider wire spacings in the rear part of the concave permit a higher separation capacity.

Closed high-performance straw walkerConnected to the threshing unit, the straw is then effec-tively loosened using a 4.30 m walker with a 150 mm stroke. Four 250 mm high steps create a loose straw mat, which permits residual grain to be separated per-fectly in the huge separation area. The closed straw walkers distribute the grain uniformly over the entire width of the preparation floor for efficient separation.

The reliable FreeFlow tableWith a working width from 4.20 m to 6.00 m, the FreeFlow table can tackle all kinds of conditions. It is especially stable and maintenance-friendly because the components are bolted on. With 1,220 cuts per min-ute, the high speed of the cutterbar ensures a clean cut and a low power requirement. Then the large intake auger, with a diameter of 580 mm, moves the crop swiftly and uniformly to the crop elevator – best condi-tions for maximum area coverage and the best harvest-ing results.

High-capacity threshing cylinderThe threshing cylinder of the 5185 E with its 600 mm diameter provides a high degree of momentum and is highly efficient. Eight counter-rotating threshing bars effectively separate the grain during the threshing process. Both the grain and straw are handled very gen-tly and breakage is minimised.

Sectional concave variant

14 mm and 24 mm

There are two front segments available for

the quick-change sectional concave: 14 mm

concave spacing for the grain harvest,

and 24 mm for the corn harvest.

Front and rear concave setting can be adjusted independently

Front perfect, the rear too: the front and rear concave openings can be

adjusted independently.

You can adapt the threshing unit to any possible harvesting conditions

from the comfort of the cab.

The so-called active, open rear walls of the

steps further improve residual separation.

The optional multi-coupler permits fast turna-

rounds when changing fields.

The FreeFlow table has feed fingers over the

entire width, which increase the throughput of

the intake auger and guarantee active, fast feed

into the crop elevator.

The Schuhmacher knife system is the best in

the industry. With 1,220 cuts per minute, it is

self-cleaning and always remains sharp.

CHOPPER AND CLEANING

Clean chopper results, cleanest crop

HC sievesThe special surface of the HC (HighCapacity) sieves ena-

bles optimised wind flow and cleaning performance.

The HC sieves therefore have a large tolerance range

and seldom need to be adjusted. Even short, brittle

straw is separated effectively. Optionally, the sieves can

be adjusted electrically from the comfort of the cab.

Efficient and economical engine powerThe tried and proven 4-cylinder AGCO Power engine

drives the Fendt 5185 E ahead powerfully with a high

torque. The engine technology is ideally adapted to the

requirements of the Fendt E-Series and provides impres-

sively high robustness while keeping running costs low.

Thanks to the SCR exhaust aftertreatment, the Fendt

E-Series is compliant with Stage 4 / Tier 4 final emis-

sions.

High-performance choppingThe new Fendt E-series is standard-equipped with a

4-row straw chopper and a total of 52 knives. The dou-

ble serrated knives with an infinitely adjustable shear

bar (also serrated) have been fitted for high, uniform

chopping performance. You can set the chopping

length as desired and there is no more worrying about

producing perfect chopping results.

No one cleans betterThe Fendt 5185 E has one of the largest sieve areas in its

power class – and therefore provides maximum clean-

ing capacity. The sectional cleaning system, with its high

dividers on the upper and lower sieves, distributes the

grain-chaff mixture uniformly over the entire cleaning

area, even when working in hilly terrain. Together with

the targeted wind guidance in the individual cleaning

sections, it enables the machine to work at maximum

cleaning capacity.

Precision as standard: The grinding floor with adjustable

dimple plate is standard and ensures a uniform length of the

chopped straw.

Operators can switch quickly and easily between swathing

and chopping modes, simply by moving a lever.

Double extra: the multi-adjustable chaff spreader with twin rotor (optional).
