I am so thankful for Paul's confi-
dence as he faces his death. He is all but abandoned and is wor-ried about the future of the Church, but he knows two
things: he has served the Lord faithfully and the Lord will re-ceive him when he dies! Should-n't those two things be our most
important goals in life? So if they are our goals, how do we live each day to fulfill them?

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to
observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with
you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28: 19,20
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
If you have children with you today, ages 4 through
11, they are welcome to join-in on our Jr. Church.
Just ask any member and they can
direct you to a Jr. Church teacher.
In 1948, he was saved at the age of 13 under the ministry of Pastor Charles Ashcraft at the First
Baptist Church of Harrison, Ohio. In January of 1955, he joined the army. After completing his military service, (he served in the Philippines) he began working at the Kroger Company. In September of 1959, he married his wife, Linda. In 1970, he started Bible College at the Central Baptist Church on Winton Road. While at-
tending Bible College, he surrendered to preach under the ministry of Pastor Charles Ashcraft at Grace Baptist Church on Winton Road in Cincinnati, Ohio. Under the authority of Grace Baptist, he started the Milan Baptist Mission in Milan, Indiana. This mission was organized two years later in 1973. He was also ordained during this ministry.
Soon, after the organization of the Milan mission, he felt that the Lord was calling him to be a missionary to the Philippines. He began deputation in 1973. Linda, their six children (ranging in ages from 6 to15 years old), and Hollie went to the Philippines in June of 1976. They began their first work in Dagupan City. Next, they began a work in Bontoc, Mountain Prov-
ince. This church, under the leadership of the same pastor for 30 years, has started many missions and has organized many churches throughout the mountains. They began their 3rd work in Laoag City under the authority of the Bodine Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and Pastor Joe Hocking. In January of 1994, they started their fourth mission in the Philippines in LaPaz. This mission
was started under the authority of Fellowship Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ohio and Pastor Dean Gooch. Although this mission is nicely furnished and the building and lot are paid in full, it is not completely financially independent. Their latest mission, Faith Baptist Independent Mission, was started in August 2008. It has a
competent pastor with a real passion for souls, preaching, and visitation; but, this mission is almost completely dependent on the missionary for financial support. In 2007, Linda had an operation for oral cancer. In January 2010, she came to the US to have a second cancer operation as the cancer had returned. Now, again in December of 2010, she is
scheduled for another oral cavity operation. With Linda’s need for adequate medical facilities, and, his own deteriorating health at the age of 75, they have decided it is time to retire. They have loved their years of service in the Philippines and are excited to discover what the Lord has planned for them in these present years.
