Next, they began a work in Bontoc, Mountain Prov- ince. They began their 3rd work in Laoag City under the authority of the Bodine Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and Pastor Joe Hocking. In January of 1994, they started their fourth mission in the Philippines in LaPaz. This mission was started under the authority of Fellowship Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ohio and Pastor Dean Gooch. Although this mission is nicely furnished and the building and lot are paid in full, it is not completely financially independent. Their latest mission, Faith Baptist Independent Mission, was started in August 2008. It has a competent pastor with a real passion for souls, preaching, and visitation; but, this mission is almost completely dependent on the missionary for financial support. In 2007, Linda had an operation for oral cancer. In January 2010, she came to the US to have a second cancer operation as the cancer had returned. Now, again in December of 2010, she is scheduled for another oral cavity operation. With Linda’s need for adequate medical facilities, and, his own deteriorating health at the age of 75, they have decided it is time to retire. They have loved their years of service in the Philippines and are excited to discover what the Lord has planned for them in these present years.
