The proposal explains the operations of Felicitas Trading Maldives and its counterpart operations in Sri Lanka

and Seychelles under the joint venture with Felicitas Trading Pvt Ltd. &Felicitas Trading Seychelles

(incorporated) Pvt Ltd. The success over the years and the expansion plans in detail with the objectives and

goals of the company

Background

Felicitas was established in 2010 June with the initial operation in Maldives and the Sri Lanka company was

registered as Felicitas Trading Pvt Ltd in 2012 Feb

Initial focus being to provide printing needs to the Maldives market Felicitas quickly developed a large

corporate client base in the Maldives, catering to both telco operators and leading organizations its work

include government school book printing, SAARC summit entire campaign printing, work to the tourism

ministry of the Maldives and many more.

Felicitas also caters to a large resort market in the Maldives working with over 40 resorts out of the 105

regularly ensures sales to the company. All printing related work is done in Sri Lanka and exported to the

Maldives throughout and all printing related work is carried out by outsourcing it.

Building on the success of the printing sector and due to the close relation with the resort sector of the

Maldives Felicitas expanded in to trading where we were awarded the agency for Basilur Tea Exports for the

Maldives, HDDES Pvt Ltd agent for hotel room amenities, Zesta Tea – Sunshine Holdings gift and staff tea

range is currently executed under the trading segment.

Capturing a 22% market share in just 9 months of initiating the trading segment is a rapidly expanding

operation at the moment and up selling promotes all products and services offered by us to the market.

Currently enjoying a 37% market share in just two years in to the operations and is the fasted growing tea

brand in the market. Out of the 61 countries that Basilur is available Maldives is the leading market in the

hotel category and our penetration models are implemented in markets such as Dubai, Korea and Eastern

Europe.

Capitalizing on this success we were also awarded the agency for Zesta Teas for their HORECA range

Expanding on the amenities market Felicitas now holds the agency for over a dozen amenity suppliers form

Thailand and China and is also the representative for a leading Hong Kong based hotel linen supplier.

Felicitas is selective in hiring the right tea and focus on working with a small unit with high skills. Managing

director carries over 6 years experience in the Maldives market employed as the Nokia Country manager

prior to starting Felicitas Trading and later promoted to manage over 40 international brands for the

Maldivian company. Working in leading company in Maldives as the finance controller Neroshan

Menerapitiya carries sound financial management skills and the local partner Abdulla Ali also carries many

years of resort and industry experience.
