Brazilian Feijoada - Recipe The slaves in colonial Brazil created a dish called “Feijoada”. They started cooking the meat that farmland owners discarded, like pork ribs, feet, ears, tails and bacon in a big pot with black beans. It is a traditional Brazilian dish. Nowadays, it is is incremented with pork tenderloin and sausages. Everybody who visits Brazil has to try it. Brazilian Feijoada - Recipe

The slaves in colonial Brazil created a dish called “Feijoada”.They started cooking the meat that farmland owners discarded, like pork ribs, feet, ears, tails and bacon in a big pot with black beans.

It is a traditional Brazilian dish. Nowadays, it is is incremented with pork tenderloin and sausages. Everybody who visits Brazil has to try it.

I chose an easy recipe version of Feijoada, because it’s made only with pork tenderloin and sausages. I don’t like the other ingredients.

Brazilian Feijoada

Ingredients:

-1 kilo of boiled black beans- Salt- Oil- Garlic- Pork tenderloin- Sausages - bay leaf

Preparation:

One day before you cook your feijoada, remove the salt from the pork tenderloin, soaking the meat in water. You will need to change the water every hour.Cook the beans for about 45 minutes in a pressure cooker, with pork tenderloin, sausages and two bay leaves

Knead the garlic and then put it in a large pan. Fry it with oil. When the garlic gets brown, put the beans. Put the salt and wait for it to boil. Our feijoada is ready and tasty!!
