The purpose of the Questionnaire

• To realize the feelings of drop-out students.

• To understand their problem(s) better.

• To realize their needs.

• To see what their expectations are.

The questionnaire

• Was applied to one hundred students who are likely to be drop-out in the future.

• Has 40 questions about

• Their family

• Their school

• Their relationship with friends

• Teaching and learning environment

• Their own abilities

!!! The volunteers who answered the questionnaire …

• 60% of them are girls.

• 10% of their families have an income over 900 Euro each month.

• 80% of them have married parents.

• 5% of them have health problems.

Some examples from the results:

• %40 of them didn’t choose their school.

• %35 of them didn’t choose their field.

• %60 of them aren’t involved in any social activities.

• None of them are involved in any voluntary work.

• %70 of them think that they fail because they don’t have enough opportunities.

• % 75 of them describe the school as a boring place.

• % 85 of them think that they are not appreciated.

• % 60 of them don’t have a plan for their future.

• % 70 of them find the teaching/learning activities boring.

• % 80 of them think that their teachers’ behaviours aren’t consistent.

• % 30 think that the facilities of the school are not efficient.
