Feeding America Update Northwest Oregon Valerie Maley: “I am totally exhausted, but it was fun, hard work. It was very rewarding!” Valerie helped out her local food bank with The Leer Carrier Food Drive. Donell Morton: “Thanks, Val, for giving your me to this worthwhile cause.” Donell Morton: “On April 2, 2014, a group of people from the Oregon Office, as well as Bruce McEwen, Regional Manager from Clabber Girl, invaded the Oregon Food Bank. We were given the task of cleaning and packaging Almond Buer. When we leſt, we smelled like Almond Buer! We packaged enough to equal 541 meals per volunteer. That is right...just on that one aſternoon, KeyImpact helped to provide 6,492 meals! The Ausn Office threw Billie Wojtowicz a surprise party at a Capital Area Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry Distribuon Center. Ross Wallace says, “Billie was surprised to see everyone there, as she thought only a few of us were going to volunteer. She is moving and this was her last day. Billie says that volunteering at the food bank is one of her favorite things to do and that she was really glad that she got to go with the whole group on her last day at KeyImpact...Today, we gave out approximately 8,000 lbs. of food to over 250 hungry households.” Robbie Sterling: “This willingness to help is truly what Feeding America is all about—outstanding teamwork! Thanks to each of you!” Chuck Paradowski: “What an awesome send-off!     Feeding America Update

    Southwest New Mexico Five employees from the Albuquerque Office volunteered at the Roadrunner Food Bank, sorting through some of the eight million annual lbs. of produce the food bank receives.     Illinois Brad Vonck: “Six employees from KeyImpact Illinois were able to volunteer at the Northern Illinois Foodbank in Geneva, Illinois. The team helped sort and re-pack a variety of breads, rolls, buns and other baked goods to be dispersed to food banks and shelters around the Northern Illinois Food Bank’s service area. During the session, the team packed 5,619 lbs. of food, which provides 4,683 meals for hungry individuals around the Northern Illinois area. The team was told this was a record for the amount of people on the team and the amount of volunteer time! It was a great experience volunteering—the organization is consistently working to service as many families in-need around Northern Illinois as possible.” Look at the team holding up the number of meals packed!     Northeast New England Bridget Cadorette: “The only thing New England loves more than our wicked awesome sports teams is Feeding America! The Massachusetts Team salvaged almost 9,000 lbs. of sweet potatoes at The Greater Boston Food Bank. We just love working with this cause and can’t wait for our next project!     West Northern CA “Heather Silva and Anita Cort de Gonzalez worked a Placer Food Bank booth at a Big Day of Giving (BIG DOG) Non-Profit Resource Fair. Heather and Anita helped in getting donations to contribute to the grand total of $14,000 raised at the National event. Placer Food Bank helps source food to food lockers in Placer, NV and El Dorado Counties, helping feed 80,000 people in-need.” Nice approach, Heather and Anita!
