OUR LEGACY

Feed Products and Service Company (FP&S) is committed to providing excellent, cost-effective products, services and

solutions to our clients. Our infrastructure of plants and warehouses provide more than 500,000 square feet of bulk

and bag storage. In addition to long-standing relationships with transportation specialists, our growing fleet of

company owned tractor trailers and our own private rail fleet of more than 100 hopper cars allow us to expedite

orders and provide the highest level of customer service.

Animal feed manufacturers, pet food manufacturers, distributors and integrated swine, dairy, and poultry companies

are all part of our diverse customer base. Our goal is to help customers achieve their business goals, including obtaining

raw materials for their products at the most competitive prices in the market. Our staff members are experienced and

knowledgeable problem-solvers. Customers benefit not only from their detailed understanding of product properties

but also their familiarity with distribution methods. As a result, orders arrive as expected, when expected.

FP&S has a long history of personal service and superior feed

products. Our decades-long relationships with many customers

started with Earl Fallin in 1945 when he founded the company

with a patented process for producing dicalcium feed phosphate.

Raised on a dairy farm and educated with a Master’s degree in

both chemical and mechanical engineering, Earl had a unique

perspective on the potential for improving animal nutrition by

adding minerals and other nutrients to their feed. As an animal

nutritionist with one of the leading farmers’ cooperatives in

the midwest, Mr. Fallin zeroed in on the vital role played by

calcium phosphate. Further work led to his patent for dicalcium

phosphate, a staple product in the animal feed industry.

Mr. Fallin’s pioneering efforts caught the attention of a leading

phosphate production company and laid the foundation of a

partnership to manufacture PURA-PHOS, his branded product.

As its champion and as a sales representative for other phosphate

products, Mr. Fallin came to be known as “Mr. Phosphate” over

the course of his distinguished career.

Within two decades of patenting PURA-PHOS, Mr. Fallin had

expanded FP&S and its Granite City, Illinois, pilot plant into

a nationally recognized mineral supply, technical sales and

marketing company. In 1980, Earl’s eldest son, Greg Fallin joined

the company full-time. His familiarity with the family business

and training in agricultural economics accelerated FP&S’ growth

as it added complementary minerals, buffers and amino acids to

the product line and launched global sourcing initiatives. Today

a third generation Fallin, Gregory Fallin II continues the legacy.

OUR COMPANY

Following through on our commitment to the feed industry and food safety, we continue to reinvest in our infrastructure to ensure our customers that we will provide them with high quality, competitively priced products, and just as important, peace of mind.

LOGISTICS: RIVER, ROAD AND RAIL

WAREHOUSE BLENDING AND PACKAGING FACILITIES

Since 1986, when Greg Fallin became FP&S’ chief executive

officer, the company has made the transition from a sales agency

to a full-line distributor with a strategic warehouse system and

integrated river, road and rail shipping network. It has turned

industry trends like feed company consolidation, greater demand

for efficiency in the animal agriculture supply chain and

automated processes into growth opportunities.

The FP&S story is one of steady progress, built on the defining

principle of value-added customer service. That business model

has led to development of distinct capabilities in material

handling, transloading, warehousing, packaging and blending

and container expediting and brokerage.

Customers can depend on FP&S for reliable on-time delivery

because we control distribution from the time the product is

sourced until the order is completed. Our infrastructure stretches

from ocean shipping arrangements to rivers, roads and rail

systems in North America. With this reach we seek out the

most cost-effective shipping routes and pass those savings along

to customers in the form of competitive pricing. When customers’

timetables call for accelerated delivery or special shipping

instructions, we are able to accommodate those needs

because we have strong and long-standing relationships

with logistic companies.

Whether the customer needs one pallet of a particular feed

ingredient or a rail car’s worth … whether the delivery arrives

by barge, train or truck … whether the raw material originated

in the United States or halfway around the world … FP&S

remains committed to meeting the customer’s need at the

most competitive price.

Strategically placed warehouses and significant investments

in material handling and packaging capabilities add to the

effectiveness of our distribution system. FP&S owns 500,000

square feet of warehouse space in addition to storage at other

strategic locations around North America. Our warehouses play

a key role in customer service. Deliberate placement underscores

our commitment to be able to meet customers’ quality and

delivery specifications.

The ample space and professional management of our

warehouse system has made FP&S a valued partner for both

customers and suppliers. Within our warehouse system are

facilities that can accept container-size shipments and break

them into amounts to match customer orders, whether they

want bulk shipments or bags. Suppliers store products with us

because they trust us to maintain ingredient quality and provide

easy access when they need their material. They also have the

assurance of certified food safety.

FP&S is setting a new standard in the urea market by ensuring quality prill size by using our RoTap rotary

screening device for particle size analysis. In-house SGN determination allows us to quantitatively make certain we

supply prills in an ideal size range.

UreaFeed grade urea is a non-protein nitrogen supplement for

ruminant animal feeds. It is produced by the reaction of

ammonia with carbon dioxide. Urea is produced around the

world, with a global capacity of over 100 million tons per year.

The majority of urea production is used in the form of granular

fertilizer, which demands over 90% of production. FP&S focuses

its efforts solely on supplying quality feed grade urea prills to

our customer base. We do not supply or trade fertilizer grade

material, as doing so could threaten the integrity of feed grade

prills that we supply our feed market.

Not only does FP&S focus solely on feed grade material, we

adhere to AFIA’s Safe Feed/Safe Food guidelines at our facilities.

We ensure the material is suitable for our customers’ needs

with policies that provide material free of foreign matter. We

condition the material to reduce setting up/caking. We analyze

material in our state of the art laboratory to guarantee quality,

limit formaldehyde levels to AAFCO requirements and adhere

to proper SGN sizing.
