Overview

The CLINS referenced herein (49AA – 50AA – 51AA-) are basic modules used to configure a communications control center. There are many possible variations in these configurations. The modules selected are intended to fill the basic requirements of a standard installation. A wide range of products are available for custom configurations - outside of the scope of this contract.

Note 1.

CLIN 49AA & 50AA (AWQ5066F) Are defined as 21 “ wide metal base frames with an upper turret- RU9 -(3 each 5.25 “ panels). The base frame is 15 “ deep , with front and rear lift out vented doors, a laminate writing surface extends 16 “ in front of the cabinet. Shelving and electrical panels are optional (Not included in CLIN). writing surface supports are included. The only variation between these two CLINS is that one is for an “end” bay which includes a dress side panel and laminate finished end and the other is for an “inside bay”, no side panel required and the laminate is finished on one side only.The RU9 upper turret space is required to accommodate the installation of Prison Orion flat screen displays and / or sp console interface panels (CIE).

CLIN51AA (AWQ5066L) Defined as a 45 degree metal base frame with an upper turret- RU9 high. The base frame is 15 “ deep . Shelving and electrical panels are not included in CLIN. This cabinet is required for making “bends” in the console configuration. It is not normally used to mount console equipment in.

The products originally supplied for CLIN 49AA – 50AA and 51AA are now considered to be obsolete - both in future availability and being able to meet advanced technology requirements.

Current operational requirements often involve the need for base cabinets with more depth along with the need for slide out shelving and AC power strips to accommodate access to the equipment installed. The upper turrets originally provided are 9 RU (15.75 “) high and have a fixed panel slope of 20 degrees. Some Prison installations require more panel slope in order to be able to see over the top of the turret equipment.

Note 2

CLIN 49AA - 50AA – 51AA Upgrade (AWQ8066 A – B- C-D –E ). These upgrades include product improvements directed at meeting the variety of physical and ergonomic configurations at the various facilities involved. This has been accomplished without a cost increase to the Government.

CLIN49AA (21” x24”x 9RU) upgrade AWQ8006A

The first product (AWQ8006A) is basically a replica of the original product with two major improvements: (1) The frame is 21” wide by 24” deep. This provides the extra depth needed for equipment installations, (2) The upper turret is available in either a high or low sloped angle to deal with operator visibility ergonomic. It does not have shelving or AC power strips. It is equipped with a NEMA LD3 laminate writing surface with a rolled oak edge on the front and finished side.

CLIN49AA / 50AA ( 42” x 24’ x 9RU ) upgrade AWQ8006B

The second product (AWQ8006B) has been developed especially for the Prison Control Center Environment. It fills the requirement of 1 each CLIN49AA and 1 each CLIN 50AA. This is a 42” wide dual base cabinet with two 19” x 9RU upper turrets. This module is designed for the “outside” bay and has a finished side panel and writing surface end on one side. The cabinet comes equipped with a slide out shelf and AC power strip. The upper turret is available in either a high or low sloped angle to deal with operator visibility ergonomics It is equipped with a NEMA LD3 laminate writing surface with a rolled oak edge on the front and finished side. This product is unique in that it takes the place of 2 CLIN items in a configuration. The outside bay and the first inside bay. Contractually speaking this product is “similar to” the products initially used but greatly improved to meet today's operational criteria. This product meets all of the initial requirements and also provides expanded and readily accessible CPU storage cabinets.

CLIN 50AA (21” x24”x 9RU) upgrade AWQ8006C

This is basically the same as the upgrade for CLIN49AA except that it does not have a finished side panel or writing surface finished end (AWQ8006C) The frame is 21” wide by 24” deep. The upper turret is available in either a high or low sloped angle to deal with operator visibility ergonomics. It does not have shelving or AC power strips, it is intended to be used as a “filler” bay if needed. It is equipped with a NEMA LD3 laminate writing surface with a rolled oak edge on the front side.

Note 6

CLIN 50AA dual ( 42” x 24’ x 9RU ) upgrade AWQ8006D

This is basically the same as the 42 “ upgrade for CLIN49AA / CLIN 50AA , The only difference being that this configuration consists of two (2) “inside” bays. It fills the requirement of 2 each CLIN50AA. This is a 42” wide dual base cabinet with two 19” x 9RU upper turrets. This module is designed for the “inside” bays. The cabinet comes equipped with a slide out shelf and AC power strip, The upper turret is available in either a high or low sloped angle to deal with operator visibility ergonomics.. It is equipped with a NEMA LD3 laminate writing surface with a rolled oak edge on the front side. This product is unique in that it takes the place of 2 CLIN items in a configuration ,two inside bays. Contractually speaking this product is “similar to” the products initially used but greatly improved to meet today's operational criteria.This product meets all of the initial requirements and also provides the expanded and readily accessible CPU storage cabinets.

CLIN51AA 45 Degree Base cabinet with 9RU upper turret upgrade AWQ8006E

This product (AWQ8006E) is basically a replica of the original product with two major improvements, (1) The frame is 24” deep. This provides the extra depth needed for equipment installations, (2) The upper turret is available in either a high or low sloped angle to deal with operator visibility ergonomics. It does No:t have shelving or AC power Strips. It’s primary use is for adding a 45 degree bend in the configuration. It is equipped with a NEMA LD3 laminate writing surface with a rolled oak edge on the front side. There are rear access panels to accommodate the installation of ancillary equipment in this area.

Note 8

CLIN52AA SP mounting panel kit for Motorola CIE.

This is to clarify the description of this product. It is a custom mounting panel used to install a Motorola CIE unit in a 19” x 5.25 “ EIA rack mount space

Note 9

CLIN52AB Is a specially built desk top cabinet (DTC) for prison radio room use.

It is designed to accommodate the Orion LCD in the lower section and a CIE / or speaker panel in the top section. Built to

stringent NEMA LD3 laminate specifications.

The new products used to upgrade these CLINS meet or exceed all of the requirements and contract specifications of the existing CLINS. Operationally, the same CLIN numbers may be used to identify the upgraded product models.

In preparing this upgrade, careful consideration was given to the most common prison configurations and the most current installation requirements. This has been done while maintaining the contract value allowed for these CLINs, and resulted in a product fulfilling the requirements for CLIN 49AA & 50AA.

ACP5066A This is a specially constructed industrial grade Prison table commonly used in Radio room environments. constructed using a 10-12 gauge steel frame, with a NEMA LD3 grade SP Laminate surface with rolled oak edging and side panels. Special under surface shelving is designed to accommodate CPU storage.

2. ACP2710E This is a panel containing 4 each intelligent speakers and an optional panel mount gooseneck microphone. Available in (3.5” x 19”) or (5.25” x 19 “).
