Podaci o geografskim koordinatama, granica ipovrinama preuzeti su od Uprave za geodetske iimovinskopravne poslove Bosne i Hercegovine, a podacio jezerima i nadmorskim visinama planinskih vrhova su iztopografskih karata razmjere/mjerila 1 : 25.000.

Data on geographical coordinates, length of boundarylines and land area were obtained by the Geodeticadministration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and data onlakes and high above sea level of mountain peaks arebased on 1 : 25.000 topographic maps.

Ostali geografski podaci preuzeti su od Federalnogministarstva okolia i turizma.

Other data on geographical characteristics are suppliedby the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

Podaci o rijeka i meteoroloki podaci preuzeti suod Federalnog hidrometeorolokog zavoda, podaci opotresima od Sektora za seizmologiju Federalnoghidrometeorolokog zavoda.

The data on length of rivers and meteorological data weretaken from Federal Weather Bureau, and data onearthquakes by the Seismic Sector of Federal WeatherBureau.

Pod pojmom planine *; se podrazumijevajuuzvienja iznad 500 m nadmorske visine, dok seuzvienja ispod 500 m nazivaju brijegom, iako su tegranice proizvoljne i variraju. Planine preko 1500 mnadmorske visine su poredane prema visini vrha.

Mountains are considered elevations of more than 500 mheight above sea-level, while those below that height areconsidered hills; however, the demarcations are not sostrict and can be arbitary. Mountains, more than 1500 mheight above sea-level have been ranged according topeak height.

METEOROLOKI PODACI METEOROLOGICAL DATAKlima The Climate

Prema svom geografskom Federacija BiH senalazi na granici dva velika klimatska pojasa. Sa sjeveraimamo utjecaj umjereno kontinentalne klime iz Panonskenizije, a sa jugozapada utjecaj mediteranske klime saJadranskog mora. Stoga razlikujemo tri osnovneklimatske oblasti: Oblast umjereno kontinentalne klime nasjeveru (Umjereni klimatski pojas), koji dolinama ;rijeka prodire duboko prema sredinjem dijelu; Oblastplaninske klime u sredinjem planinskom dijelu (Planinskipojas), te Oblast mediteranske klime na jugozapadu(Maritimni pojas). Zavisno od nadmorske visinerazlikujemo i nekoliko prijelaznih oblasti W ovihglavnih, a na ; nadmorskim visinama ucentralnom planinskom pojasu govorimo i o oblastimaalpske klime.

According to geographical location Federation of Bosniaand Herzegovina borders on two big climatic zone. On thenorth is influence of moderate continental climate from thePanonean lowlands, on the south influence ofMediterranean climate from Adriatic sea. According tomentioned above we recognized three basic climatic zone:region of moderate continental climate on the north(moderate climatic zone); region of mountain climate(mountain zone) and region of Mediterranean climate onthe southwest (maritime zone). In dependence of abovesea level we recognized a few transitional zones betweenthree main, and in Central mountain zone we can talk onAlpean climate.



Umjereni klimatski pojas ima umjereno kontinentalnuklimu sa dosta otrim zimama i toplim ljetima. Srednjetemperature u mjesecu * su ispod 0.0 o Cdok su u julu/srpnju srednje temperature 18.7 do 22.6 o C.Apsolutne minimalne temperature u zimskom periodu; se i do 27.0 oC, dok apsolutne maksimalne uljetnjem periodu i 40.0 o C. Srednje godinjetemperature (viegodinji prosjek) se ; od 9.5 do10.2 oC, dok za pojedine godine variraju od 9.0 do 11.6oC. 5* godinje sume padavina/oborina se ;od preko 1300 l/m2 na zapadu, a prema istoku opadajudo 700 l/m2. Sa porastom nadmorske visine prema jugusrednje temperature opadaju, a suma padavina/oborinaraste. Dolinama velikih rijeka utjecaj ovog klimatskogpojasa dopire duboko na jug zemlje.

Area of moderate climatic zone have a moderatecontinental climate. Main characteristics of moderatecontinental climate is a strong winter and warm summer.Mean temperatures in January are under 0.0 o C, while inJuly mean temperatures are between 18.7 o C and 22.6o C. In winter period absolute minimum temperatures lessthan 27.0 o C, while in summer period absolutemaximum temperatures are about 40.0 o C. Mean annualtemperatures (lasting several years) of between 9.5 o

and 10.2 o C, while that varies from year to year between9.0 o C and 11.6 o C. Average annual precipitation rangesfrom 700 l/m 2 on the east to 1300 l/m 2 on the west.Moving to the south mean temperature decline andamount of precipitation increase.

Planinski pojas (sa nadmorskom visinom od 500 do2000 m i preko), odlikuje se kontinentalno-planinskomklimom, koja na visinama preko 1700 m ima i sve odlikealpske klime, kakve se ; u alpskom planinskomsistemu. Osnovna karakteristika ove klime je otra zima(temperature se u pravilu ; u rasponu od 24.0 do34.0 oC) i kratka, blaga ljeta. Srednja temperatura na500 m je oko 9.5 oC i opada sa ; nadmorskevisine od 0,6 oC do 1.0 oC na svakih sto metara zavisnood intenziteta temperaturne inverzije.

Mountain zone (with above sea-level from 500 to 2000 mand more) are characterized by continental mountainclimate and over than 1700 m Alpean climate. Maincharacteristics of this climate is a strong winter withtemperatures between 24.0 o C and 34.0 o C, andshort, mild summer. On the 500 m above sea-level meantemperature is 9.5 o C and decline if the above sea-levelincrease from 0,6 o C to 1,0 o C.

Mediteranski pojas (dolina rijeke Neretve i njenihpritoka, kao i kraka polja) zbog blizineJadranskog mora ima mediteransku klimu. Mediterranean zone (vally around the river Neretva)owing to Adriatic sea have a Mediterranean climate. Maincharacteristics of mentioned above climate is a mild winterand buring summer. Mean temperatures in January arefrom 3.0 o C to 5.0 o C, while in July more than 24.0 o C,but the amplitude is lower than in northern and centralparts of the country. Maximum air temperature is about45.0 o C.

Od tog broja 415 zemljotresa ima epicentar na teritoriji Bosne i Hercegovine, to predstavlja blago smanjenje~?=X=[~Y=[|[\?=[>;y[{>[~y>;\?Y`[{>y[{=>yDuring to 2011, Seismological Centre, belonging to the Federal Weather Bureau, registered 884 earthquakes and out of them 415 withepicentrum in the Bosnia and Herzegovina.
