Th e integrated VoIP gateway supports IP system and standard SIP

telephones, allowing fl exible connection to SIP providers. Connecting

various sites via VoIP is also possible. Confi guration of systems occurs

via web browser on the cross-product FCI interface: here every user can

perform his/her own individual settings over the user portal.

System telephones are centrally administered via the elmeg hybird

systems. Important settings and status information are automatically

exchanged between PABX system and terminal.

Th e next generation of modular PABXs—elmeg hybird 300/600—is

designed as a pure IP PABX system on the basis of a fully-migrated

soft ware platform. elmeg hybird stands for seamless, smooth migration

of future-orientated IP technology with conventional technology and

supports the relevant standards. Optional upgrading and classic

interfaces allow individualised and fl exible system expansion.

Th e new generation of elmeg system telephones is perfectly adapted to the

hybird systems, allowing quick and easy taking into operation, along with

automatic transfer of status information. From standard system telephone

with a small visual display to the top-of-the-line model with colour display,

by way of the comfort telephone with its 8-line display, we off er the right

phone for ever user.

Besides loudspeaker, hands-free, headset connection and 15 free function

keys, system telephones are adapted to table and wall mounting. For the CS

variants, a switchable interface allows optional operation as an Up0 or S0

device. Plus, an S0 output is always available for connection of an additional

terminal. Th e new models can be upgraded with up to 3 key extensions, each

with 30 keys and LEDs.

In the new systems of the elmeg hybird series, the S0 (internal/external)

and Up0 connections (internal) are now unifi ed in a S/U combination

interface, allowing universal confi guration via switching plug. Th e 8 S/U

module and a combination module with 4x S/U plus 6x FXS allow

fl exible expansion. We off er FXS modules with 8 or 16 ports for scenarios

with many analogue interfaces (e.g. hotels).

All modules can be fl exibly combined with adaptor bases for RJ 45

sockets or terminal blocks for installation cables.

Th e new professional VDSL VPN gateway bintec R3502 completes the

bintec R series. With its integrated VDSL modem (bandplan 998), bintec

R3502 allows high-speed Internet connections of up to 100 Mbit/s. In

addition, bintec R3502, like all devices of the R series, features fi ve

gigabit Ethernet ports and an ISDN interface.

With a 19” metal housing and integrated switched-mode power supply,

the gateway provides long-term reliability in business-critical

applications. Th e licence for 10 active hardware-accelerated IPSec tunnels

is included ex-works (extensible to up to 110 tunnels), and off ers one of

the most comprehensive currently available IPSec implementations.

Th e new bintec RS230au+ and RS232bu+ devices complete the high-

performance bintec RS series: the integrated HSPA+-UMTS modem,

with up to 21 Mbit/s downstream, can be used as primary Internet access

as well as a backup connection.

With their large variety of interfaces, such as Gigabit Ethernet, ADSL,

UMTS, ISDN and USB, the new bintec devices set a new standard of

fl exibility. Th e clear, HTML-based confi guration interface FCI off ers you

optimal support with integrated wizards when confi guring the system.

bintec XAdmin is a server application for centrally-controlled automation

of mass rollouts and for maintenance of large router installation. bintec

XAdmin allows easy confi guration and maintenance of all devices from

the head offi ce—time-controlled or triggered by events.

With its new integrated support of digital certifi cates, the bintec XAdmin

is also adapted to solutions using a public key infrastructure.

Management of digital certifi cates can operate both with the integrated,

or an external, certifi cate server.

Th e new professional VPN gateway bintec RXL12500 impresses not only

with one of the best IPSec implementations in the market, but above all

through its high IPSec encryption capacity of up to 796 Mbit/s (3DES).

Flexible scaling of IPSec licences and comprehensive routing functions,

such as OSPF, BRRP, load balancing, and QoS, make bintec RXL12500

ideal for use in medium to large company headquarters.

Th e standard equipment on the media gateways of the bintec RT Series

includes the remote CAPI interface. Th is allows employees working

within the corporate network to use CTI services such as PC fax or PC

answerphone over the CAPI interface.

In this instance the CAPI interface acts as an intermediary between the

virtual fax servers and the ISDN ports in the media gateway and

connects the ISDN line with the virtualised servers. With Servonic and

C4B, these functions can now also be used via Q.SIG at the device

connector of the Siemens HiPath systems.

and WI series receive lots of upgrades in the graphic interface FCI

facilitating use of the diverse features.

One innovation is the Pathfi nder function: with v7.10.1, users can

establish an IPSec data connection even behind a fi rewall whose port

setting is designed to basically prevent IPSec communication.

Support of Internet Key Exchange Protocol version 2 (IKE v.2) now

renders setup of VPNs simpler, more fl exible and less susceptible to error.
