By Todd Cotta The early part of the year is always an excing me here at KGC! The winter months are a great me to go inside and train! Our classes are filling up. More and more Ameri- cans are learning how to shoot and building their skills. Firearms are so much in the news these days that its hard to not hear or see what is going on around our state and naon. Over my career I have taken the oath of office many mes. As a Law Enforcement Officer and Supervisor for Laguna Irrigaon, I have sworn an oath to support and uphold the US Constuon. Again in December, I was administered the oath to confirm my candidacy for CA Assembly. It amazes me that policians, although they swore to uphold the US Con- stuon, many violate it everyday without a second thought. We are One Naon. We have a constuon that very specifically lays out our natural rights but some legislators are so hungry for power that whey will pass laws that fly in the face of those rights. Recently Virginia has been in the news quite a bit. They proposed laws to mirror many California gun laws. Over 20 thousand people rallied at the capitol in Richmond to let them know exactly how they feel about the government violang their rights. For whatev- er reason, gun owners in CA have lost the fight to protect their rights. About 18 months ago, there was a gun rights rally in Sacramento. A few hundred people showed up and it lost its steam. CA is a HUGE state and it is very difficult for people to get to the capitol. However I dont believe that is the true reason for the lack of emoon on this topic. Californians have been stepped on for so long that it has become a mass of people who feel so disenfranchised they have no more fight in them. I wish I had an answer to change the de in CA. I know this - I need every gun owner to vote 2A. Vote for no new bonds and taxes, and vote for your constuonal rights. Vong is the only way we are going to get Sacramento to listen to us. It is so easy to vote, but yet less than half of registered voters vote. Lets change that trend in 2020. Vote for your rights! By Todd Cotta

The early part of the year is always an exciting time here at KGC! The winter months are a great time to go inside and train! Our classes are filling up. More and more Ameri-cans are learning how to shoot and building their skills. Firearms are so much in the news these days that it’s hard to not hear or see what is going on around our state and nation.

Over my career I have taken the oath of office many times. As a Law Enforcement Officer and Supervisor for Laguna Irrigation, I have sworn an oath to support and uphold the US Constitution. Again in December, I was administered the oath to confirm my candidacy for CA Assembly. It amazes me that politicians, although they swore to uphold the US Con-stitution, many violate it everyday without a second thought. We are One Nation. We have a constitution that very specifically lays out our natural rights but some legislators are so hungry for power that whey will pass laws that fly in the face of those rights.

Recently Virginia has been in the news quite a bit. They proposed laws to mirror many California gun laws. Over 20 thousand people rallied at the capitol in Richmond to let them know exactly how they feel about the government violating their rights. For whatev-er reason, gun owners in CA have lost the fight to protect their rights. About 18 months ago, there was a gun rights rally in Sacramento. A few hundred people showed up and it lost its steam. CA is a HUGE state and it is very difficult for people to get to the capitol. However I don’t believe that is the true reason for the lack of emotion on this topic.

Californians have been stepped on for so long that it has become a mass of people who feel so disenfranchised they have no more fight in them. I wish I had an answer to change the tide in CA. I know this - I need every gun owner to vote 2A. Vote for no new bonds and taxes, and vote for your constitutional rights.

Voting is the only way we are going to get Sacramento to listen to us. It is so easy to vote, but yet less than half of registered voters vote. Lets change that trend in 2020.

TOP GUN NEWS ARTICLES YOU CLICKED ON IN 2019 :: GUNS.COM We crunched the numbers on the most viewed posts for the past year and, from Yeet Cannons to suitcase miniguns, it was a wild ride.

GUN CONTROL Overwhelmingly, Guns.com visitors were concerned with moves by anti-gun poli-ticians to ramp up efforts to ban or otherwise dump extra layers of government red tape on firearms and ammunition. In fact, several of the most high-trafficked articles involved a bill in Congress to make mandatory background checks the nationwide norm for ammunition sales and others to include the most sweeping “assault weapon” ban proposal since 1994.

The good news going into 2020 is that while H.R. 1705 and H.R. 1296 have 78 and 216 co-sponsors respectively, they are still languishing in committee despite Democrat control of the body. The bad news is that other marginally less intru-sive gun control efforts made it through Congress and was signed into law to in-clude a bill that funds $25 million for the CDC to study gun use in relation to pub-lic health issues. GUN CULTURE When it comes to having fun in a very ballistic way, we found that Empty Shell’s XM556 suitcase-sized minigun prototype and a tour of a working WWII B-17 bomber ball turret both brought over a million views this year while an M61 20mm Vulcan Cannon “The Hand of God” came in a close third place. Now that’s home defense! 12/31/19 3:48 AM | by Chris Eger
