Contemporary Issues - The 10:30 Adult Contemporary Issues Class will discuss: “Do you believe our survival on planet Earth is being threatened?” Is Zac Goldsmith, editor of the “Ecologist” magazine, correct in thinking that without an immediate change in our ways, humankind could disappear very soon? Or are there already positive signs of change and grounds for optimism in our historical ability to adapt and survive?

50+ will meet on Friday, March 18th, at 12:00 noon in the Shalimar Country Club Restaurant, 2032 E. Golf Ave., Tempe. A New Class at Dayspring - This March and April, every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Adult Room, we will offer a course on justice which is clearly a Methodist sub-topic. Justice is more than theory, and practice starts in many places. We have a helpful DVD that practices polite disagreements and careful reflections. Methodism started as a “big tent” religion and justice was in the air of the Industrial Revolution in England. Presented by Craig Carpenter and John Fielden.

Book Sale - United Methodist Women will have a used book sale on Saturday, April 9, at Dayspring. We are seeking book donations: paperbacks, hardbacks, novels, biographies, children’s books, cookbooks, nonfiction, etc. (no textbooks or magazines, please).
