Processional Hymn
We ought to glory in the cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ: in Whom is our salvation, life, and resurrection; by whom we are saved and delivered. May God have mercy on us, and bless us: may He cause the light of His countenance to shine upon us; and have mercy on us.

First Reading Numbers 21: 4-9 Responsorial Psalm Psalm 78 Second Reading (Proclaimed in Spanish) Philippians 2: 6-11 Brothers and sisters: Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. The Word of the Lord.

Communion Hymn
Communion Motet (Sung by Schola) V. Fortunatus (c.530-609 AD)
VEXILLA Regis prodeunt; fulget Crucis mysterium, quo carne carnis conditor suspensus est patibulo. Arbor decora et fulgida, ornata Regis purpura, electa digno stipite tam sancta membra tangere. O Crux ave, spes unica, in hac triumphi Gloria, piis adauge gratiam, reisque dele crimina. Te, fons salutis Trinitas, collaudet omnis spiritus: quos per Crucis mysterium salvas, fove per saecula. Amen.
The Royal Banner forward goes, The mystic Cross refulgent glows: Where He, in Flesh, flesh who made, Upon the Tree of pain is laid. O lovely and refulgent Tree, adorned with purpled majesty; culled from a worthy stock, to bear those limbs which sanctified were. Hail, Cross, of hopes the most sublime, On this triumphant day, Improve religious souls in grace, The sins of criminals efface. Blest Trinity, salvation's spring, May every soul Thy praises sing; To those Thou grantest conquest By the holy Cross, rewards apply. Amen.
