• Everything not done in faith is rooted in a distrust of God or self-centered fear.

• Our fears reveal our lusts: We lust for the things we fear not having.

• Our lusts reveal our idolatry.• Things that we idolize are things we are called to

repent of.

Redeeming Truth of Step Five

Under the covering of God’s grace, we step out in faith, leaving behind our old self-protective ways of covering sin and hiding from God and prayerfully come into the light. We confess sins before God and to one another and pray for one another so that we may be healed.
