A MERIT BADGE FOR SAFETY. New for 2018, the Officer Protection System is an invaluable asset that supports your staff when they’re out on patrol and is available on Charger Enforcer models equipped with the Fleet Park Assist(2) Group.

The Officer Protection System incorporates state-of-the-art technology, starting with the Surveillance Mode ModuleTM from InterMotive,* and adding ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera(2) with the Fleet Park Assist(2) Group technology—which includes Park-Sense® Rear Park Assist(2) and, new for 2018, Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Path Detection(2) as well.

The results? A dramatic and welcome ramping up of situational awareness when officers are parked and working in the vehicle—the time when distractions are normal and part of everyday business. When motion is detected, the system alerts the officer and ensures that those who protect and serve get the technology that serves and protects.

HOW IT WORKS IS SIMPLE—and is programmable at the discretion of your law enforcement agency. When the Officer Protection System is activated, any of the following can occur:

— Interior chimes sound, alerting the officer of potential danger— Front side windows, if open, automatically raise and close— All doors automatically lock— The reverse lights illuminate, and taillamps flash— Most importantly, the ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera(2) image is instantly
