Jumper Classes & Stakes

Open to junior members of the USHJA who reside in Zone 3. Qualify by winning any of the Zone 3 state equitation medals, or by winning the VHSA Junior and Children’s Medal, NCHJA Children’s Medal, EJ Haun Memorial Medal, MHSA Hunt Seat Medal Horse, Gittings Horsemanship Medal, etc. in any state or zone between August 27, 2020 and July 26, 2021.

The class will be divided into two height sections: 3’ and 3’6”. However, the two height sections will be judged as one class.

EQ U I TAT I O N CHAMPIONSHIP

The 3’ section is limited to riders who have not competed three or more times in any class or division at 3’6” or higher. The course shall consist of at least ten fences with at least one combination and two changes of direction. The top 12 will return for a �at phase. Further testing is upon the judge’s discretion. An open scoring system will be used. The Uptown Award shall be awarded by the judges pick of the Horse most suited to the class.
