Design Concept:
JIC 3075 CHF mechanical packing is made, processed and tested
through
several stages. First, we choose our materials carefully, only
selecting thebest type of yarns and additives. Equally important,
is choosing the type ofspecial lubricant which can be absorbed and
embedded by the packing for along period of time despite strenuous
conditions. Lastly, is selecting the rightconstruction type of
packing for each application. This is a vital part of theprocess as
it will determine the life cycle of the product.
LUBRICANTS
JIC 3075 CHF contains a special type of lubricant that provides
a comparativeadvantage as compared to other types of standard
lubricants used for generalmechanical packing. The lubrication
provides resiliency that allows the packingto deform and recover
under slight mechanical deficiencies, such as shaftmovement. This
lubricant also provides inter fiber lubricity that
reducesfrictional heat and acts as a fluid barrier by closing the
voids in braidedstructures to prevent leakage through the cross
section of the packing.
The type of the lubricant used is dry film graphite with the
followingcharacteristics:
High load carrying performance
Clean evaporating base oil
Does not contain solvents
Temperature range: dry film up to +550deg C.
Materials:
Along with advancing technology in materials, including fibers
and lubricants, Compression Packing continues tobe a viable
solution for a wide range of modern sealing applications.
JIC 3075 CHF material construction used special graphite fiber
yarns (fiber carbon content C >99%). and yarncharacteristic:
high strength, continuous filament, high thermal conductivity, high
chemical resistance, very softand excellent flexibility, and low
abrasion.
This is the type of yarn that we use to make JIC 3075 CHF in
thermo gravimetric analysis test, low weight lossrate is between
0.002%/h. Results will indicate high oxidation and chemical
resistance. In combination withadditives like molybdenum disulfide,
tungsten disulfide and boron nitride, these graphite fiber yarns
will providelow friction and temperature stability during
operation. The thermal conductivity of a compression packing is
ofmuch importance for fast running rotary pumps and reciprocating
pumps especially in high temperatureapplications. In this case,
thermal conductivity of the selected yarn is 80W/m-K.

Media Acid(Corrosive, Mild), alkali(Corrosive, Mild), Gases (Air
& Dry industrial, Ammonia),Water(Steam, Salt water),
Oils(Petroleum, Synthetic), Solvent (Aliphatic, Aromatic)
Important Notice: this type of mechanical packing is not
recommended forstrong oxidizer media.
