The Bora WTX Clamp Edge Saw Guide For Making Cuts Up To 100” LongThe WTX Clamp Edge is made of a high-strength, extruded aluminum alloy that provides excellent dimensional stability. It’s also lightweight, durable and corrosion-resistant. The Clamp Edge provides a straight and true edge for making cuts up to 50” long. Add the optional extension and now you can reach up to 100” inches in cutting length – perfect for standard 8-foot sheet material such as plywood.

Locking the Clamp Edge in place is a snap – literally. Set it in position; adjust the clamp end; then lock it in place by pushing the handle down. It’s that simple. Push a circular saw, router, sabre saw, marking tool – virtually any tool – along the Clamp Edge and it won’t budge.

The Bora Saw Plate Makes the WTX Clamp Edge Saw Guide Even BetterAdd the Saw Plate and you have a foolproof system for preventing a saw from wandering. Cuts are perfectly square, or if the blade is set at an angle there’s no

deviation from one end of the cut to the other. It works with either a right-hand or left-hand saw. Saws are easy to mount with two

adjustable screws at the front of the plate, plus an adjustable metal thumbscrew that secures the saw at a third point

The Bora Rip Guide: For Making Multiple Cuts Up To 24” WideLots of projects require multiple pieces cut exactly the same size. Measuring, marking, setting up a guide and cutting each one can take time. But not if you use the Bora Rip Guide. Set it once to any size up to 24” and the Rip Guide makes repetitive cuts easily without having to reset the guide or marking new pencil guidelines. The Rip Guide is made of the same high-strength extruded aluminum as the Clamp Edge for strength and durability. A specially designed channel secures the Saw Plate in the correct position. A comfortable molded handle provides a sure grip for pushing the Guide evenly across the material you’re ripping. The blade aligns with an integrated blade guide on the Saw Plate to ensure accuracy. The Rip Guide, together with the Clamp Edge forms a complete, easy-to-use system for making cross cuts and ripping wood or other sheet goods.

Tips and TechniquesUsing the Bora WTX Clamp Edge Saw GuidePlace the Clamp Edge on the material you’re cutting with the handle end against the edge. On the opposite edge pinch the sliding adjustable clamp end to move it into a snug position. Push the handle down to lock it in position.

Set the Saw Blade DepthWith the saw unplugged, check the depth of the blade against the edge of the material and adjust to approximately 1/2” below the board. Tighten the blade in that position.

Support the Material You’re CuttingSupport your work near the cut line across the entire length of the cut so it’s level and stable and doesn’t buckle under the weight of the saw. This helps prevent the blade from getting pinched, which can cause binding or kickback.

Nice and EasyPush your saw against the Clamp Edge with a continuous smooth motion. Let the cut piece fall freely.

Using the Bora Saw PlateA circular saw is fastened to the Saw Plate by the set screws in the two clamps at the front of Saw Plate. An additional spring clamp secures the circular saw to the Saw Plate. With the saw securely fastened to the Saw Plate, slide it into the matching channels on the Clamp Edge. With the saw unplugged, check and adjust the blade’s depth as necessary.

An even, continuous push enables a clean, precise cut with no chance of the saw drifting out of position.

Using the Bora Rip GuideRip cuts can be made easily with the Rip Guide by following these simple steps. Make sure the material you are cutting is stable and won’t move as you apply pressure to the edge with the Rip Guide. Bench dawgs, clamps or even temporarily nailing the material to a work surface can prevent the material from moving during cutting.

Unplug the saw and mount it to the Saw Plate. Check blade depth against material to be cut and adjust if necessary. Place the Saw Plate into the channel on the Rip Handle. Set the desired width by aligning the guide marker at the front of the Saw Plate to the guide’s ruler. Tighten the Saw Plate in place.

Position the Rip Guide so the Rip Handle fits snuggly against the edge of the material to be cut. Apply even, continuous pressure against the edge of the material while you push the saw to maintain a true edge for subsequent cuts.

Whenever you use power tools always work safe, wear safety glasses and the proper clothing, and follow all safety precautions provided by your tool’s manufacturer.
