Reception Planning -6/5 Hello Beech and Sycamore Class! Literacy –Please find a copy of today’s activity below. There is also a copy of the Jolly Phonics Phase 3 digraphs with actions – the children may be able to tell you the alternative spellings for some of the sounds too! Outdoor/ Physical – We have enjoyed lots of treasure hunts haven’t we? How about making a collection of treasures from your garden and weaving them into your homemade frame? This is your Spring frame and should be full of petals, leaves, seeds and grass! Maths - This week we are thinking about the number 13. Please try to find out as many facts about this number as possible. -Can you halve it? (share it equally in to 2 groups) -What is double 13? -Which numbers are 1 less and 1 more than 13? -What coins could you use to make this number? -What does a tally of this number look like? -using 13 blocks/ cubes/ Lego pieces what could you make? -What does 13 look like using numicom? Perhaps you could make a poster with as many ‘facts’ about 13 as you can ? Online activity- Use Purplemash to find the 2do that is called 2Go and features a bee with 4 directional arrows. Can you use the arrows to fly your bee to every flower? If you have completed this 2Do already, there is a child that has visited every flower in 14 moves (or squares) if you would like to repeat it and see if you can match this record!
