His death notice in the NZ Herald, 27 March 1911 read: Coldicutt: On March 26, 1911, at Onehunga, Charles Coldicutt; in his 80

The funeral will leave his son’s residence, Charles Gore Coldicutt, Church Street, for Waikaraka Cemetery this day (Monday.) Private interment. However, there is a NZSG CD that suggests he was buried in St Peter’s, Onehunga. Not sure what to decide or how to prove/disprove either. Maybe he was buried at Waikaraka but instead of purchasing another headstone they honoured him on the same headstone as his wife at St Peter’s.” Charles is not registered in St Peter’s Burial Register i.e. burials within the church cemetery.
