THE Hong Kong Dis-neyland (HKDL) Resort is a leading

family destination, where an enchanting experience awaits guests of all na-tionalities and age groups, Terruce Wang, vice-pres-ident, sales and distribu-tion marketing, tells TTN. Located in reclaimed land on Penny’s Bay, Lantau Island, the resort is pre-pared to receive guests from the Middle East with family-friendly, luxury accommodation, special experiences for kids and halal-certified cuisine.

For the fourth consecu-tive year in 2013, HKDL has reported record reve-nue, attendance, hotel oc-cupancy and guest spend-ing. This steady growth is attributable to the three main sources of guests – from the local community, mainland China and inter-national markets – with the latter two accounting for about two-thirds of

total guests. Overall hotel occupancy was at a new high of 94 per cent for fiscal 2013, while guest spending broke records with a 6 per cent year-over-year increase.

“Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s award-winning hotels feature rooms that can accommodate up to four people and we of-fer unique experiences for kids and adults alike,” says vice-president Wang. The exclusive Kingdom Club offers unparalleled attention to detail, per-

sonalised assistance and services, and a diversity of activities to keep the most demanding guests appeased: but after all, the kids are the VIPs here. Little guests can enjoy bedtime stories in the Kingdom Club Lounge, dress up as their favourite fairy tale characters in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and have dinner with their favourite Disney characters all in one day.

HKDL offers halal-certified cuisine to cater to the diverse needs of guests from around the world in its wide array of restaurants. Halal food is served at Tahitian Terrace in Adventureland and Ex-plorer’s Club Restaurant at Mystic Point; it can also be prepared upon request at a number of restaurants in the resort’s hotels – namely Chef Mickey, Studio Lounge, and Walt’s Cafe – and is also available from room

Wang ... enjoy Hong Kong Disneyland regardless of age

three new additions to the resort in recent years, Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point, have proven to be a hit among guests.

The resort keeps its offering fresh by having something new to do dur-ing any season of the year. As winter sets in, the park transforms into a winter wonderland complete with sparkling lights, fes-tive decorations and even snow. “Christmas at Hong

Kong Disneyland is one to remember,” says Wang, “while other seasonal celebrations for Chinese New Year, Halloween, and summer promise lifelong memories as well.”

HKDL also announced plans to build a new hotel at the resort, adding an-other 750 hotel rooms to its existing inventory. The new hotel will offer guests an immersive and unique-ly Disney resort-style ex-perience dedicated to the

spirit of exploration and celebrates exotic locations from around the world. The hotel is slated to open by early 2017, pending all necessary project approv-als. New initiatives in the pipeline include a brand new night time spectacu-lar called “Disney Paint the Night” in 2014, tenth anniversary celebration offerings in 2015 and a new themed area based on Marvel’s Iron Man fran-chise in late 2016. n
