Poem of the Month

Let's go picking in the

pumpkin patch.

Now we're jiggling the oldgate latch.

Gate swings wide and we step

inside

Pumpkins spread like an ocean

tide.

You take the one like a fatballoon

I'll take the one like an

orange moon.

Hike to the house in fifty

paces

Then we'll carve out thepumpkin faces.

HighlightsOctober was a busy month with many fun and excitingactivities. During the month we made many Halloween and fall

themed projects. They included the painted jack-o-lanterns,

the changing colors leaf booklet, the “I love fall” portfolio, and

Halloween masks. The field trip to Style’s Pumpkin Patch was

a great learning experience for everyone as children were able

to go on a hay ride and pick out their very own pumpkins. The

Harvest Festival and the Halloween parade were also a huge

success. Everyone looked cute in their costumes!! What a

great way to end the month of October!
