  • Fall in love.Wellness comes as naturally as friendship, relaxation takes the place of

responsibilities you’d rather not tend to, and doing whatever you want to do

    makes daily living meaningful.

So stroll the water’s edge at dusk. Dine in the company of fascinating new friends.

Strengthen and tone in the Welless Center. Your life here can be an endless

series of rewarding, captivating experiences of your own design.

And when friends and family come to visit, they’ll ask: Can they find a 20-million-

year-old shark’s tooth along the shore? Are Maryland crab cakes the best in the

world? Do a million graceful waterfowl overwinter here every year? Is there really

    a Calvert County Jousting Tournament?

Yes! you tell them. It’s all true.

It’s the rhythm and romance of island life, southern Maryland style.

    You’ll love it.

  • Make yourself at home.Make choices. That’s what it means to be independent.

And that’s why we give you so many choices.

Dining, for example. Sometimes you’d rather head into town for seafood

with the neighbors. Other times, you’d prefer entertaining at home. A sunny

afternoon is right for a picnic or lunch at The Grill. And watching the sun go

down from the River View Dining Room is a great way to end any day.

Our dining plan is as flexible as you are, and the choices are always yours.

And residential living? Again, your choice. Apartment or cottage? Soaring

cathedral ceilings, expansive windows and open floor plan, or something

more traditional? Or would you rather choose a waterfront cottage with a

cozy screened porch where you can watch the ospreys?

Maintenance is provided, of course. Because we know you’d rather spend

your time choosing from enriching, entertaining activities.

So go on. We’ll take care of the chores, while you make yourself at home.

    A Life Well Lived

Continuing care retirement communities are designed with living well now and in the future in mind. Wellness is infused in everything we do – from the dozens of fitness and aquatic classes we have each week, to the many volunteer opportunities on and off-campus, to dozens of resident clubs such as the Travel Club and Computer Club, to lifelong learning classes, and so much more.

Without home maintenance headaches, you now have the time to do what you want to do, not what you have to do. Find the pace that suits you, and experience the expansion of opportunities and friendships that come with community living.

A growing body of research is demonstrating the importance of social connections and ongoing engagement to our lifelong physical, emotional, and intellectual health.

Hike local destinations with the Hitchhiker’s Club, keep your green thumb going in our community garden plots, gather for games, grilling, and spectacular sunsets during Evenings on the Quad, or invite your friends over for lunch or drinks at the Topside Grille and Pub.

In warm months, our waterfront location takes center stage at Asbury Solomons. Highlights include events like Riverfest – featuring food, water fun, and music – and our weekly Beach Meet Ups, where residents gather with the wellness team to kayak, give paddle boarding a try, or just watch and cheer others on from the dock.
