    Life U AthleticsKey Achievements for 2019-20Men’s Soccer

    2019 Mid-South Conference Regular Season Champions Earned trip to NAIA National Tournament where they went to the second-

    round Thierry Jules – Mid-South Conference Player of the Year Alex Pama – Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year

    Women’s Wrestling Julia Vidallon won LIFE’s first ever women’s individual national

    championship. Team earned WCWA national runner-up finish – the highest placement in

    school history.

    Men’s Wrestling Denver Stonecheck earned a national runner-up finish in the 149lb weight

    class.

    Cheer Freshman Brendan Marks earned Mid-South Conference Freshman of the

    Year and Cheerleader of the year, while also becoming the program’s first ever NAIA All-American.

    Swimming Freshman Dora Reizinger earned the school’s first national runner-up finish

    in the 200 Backstroke. Women’s Swim earned their highest-ever national finish, coming in 5th

    place at the NAIA National Championship.

    Women’s Lacrosse Earned the schools first-ever LAX win over a ranked opponent, beating #7

    Marian Nationally ranked 7th at the time COVID cancelled the season

    Track Bria Sands won the Mid-South Conference Indoor Athlete of the Year after

    breaking the conference records in both the triple jump and the long jump. Additionally, she ran on the conference champion 4x400 relay team.

    Activities Life University continues to be the largest athletics department in metro-

    Atlanta with more than 500 student-athletes. Academic accolades have continued to climb as Life U student-athletes

    earned 44 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete awards, tripling their total from 2018-2019. Additionally, they earned 88 conference academic awards, their highest total in department history.

    The department saw their highest-ever department GPA over the course of the 2019-2020 academic year, with a department average over a 3.0.
