2. Be aware of the registration closing date foryour event.

3. Go to gshnj.org and click on Registration.

4. Log in and click on the “Activities” tab on thetop left-hand side.

5. Type all or part of the name of your desiredprogram in the white search box on the rightside of the page. A list of search results willappear; click “view all” and all results willappear on one page.

6. Click on the program name and click“Register Now.”

7. Follow the prompts and select who you wishto register.

8. Check out, and process your payment.

9. Look for your email confirmation.

CHAPERONEPOLICYIf you are attending aGSHNJ Programas an individual girl,youmust have an adult chaperone accompany you. Unlessspecifically indicated, noGSHNJ Programs are “drop-off”events.

If you are attending aGSHNJ Programas a troop/group,youmust begin with two unrelated adult chaperones (bothwith cleared background checks on file; one of whomis female) andmay add additional adults according tominimum safety ratios as outlined inVolunteer Essentials.

• Youmust provide a venue for the program. GSHNJ Service Centers and camps are available for theseprograms, on a limited basis, free of charge. ProgramSpecialists can provide availability information forcouncil properties.

• A $50 refundable deposit is required to reserve freeONDEMANDprograms. Your refundwill be issuedwhenminimumattendance ismet, or if you cancel at least oneweek in advance of your reservation.

This program is all about bubbles! Completeexperiments to answer questions like“Whatmakes the best bubble solution?” and “Arebubbles always round?” Once you’ve discoveredthe optimal bubble solution, put it to the testmakingbubbles, bubbles, andmore bubbles!

Any time your troop travels awayfrom your regularmeeting place—on a field trip, an overnight, or aprogram—youmust have a Troop

First Aider present! Your Troop First Aider does not have to bea leader, but does need to be a registered adult over the ageof 18 who has completed an in-person certification course in firstaid andCPR by the AmericanHeart Association, American RedCross, American Safety andHealth Institute, National Safety Council, or EMP America. Online certification courses arenot acceptable byGSUSA.

Troop First Aiders are welcome to complete these certification courses anywhere they like,but GSHNJ offers both first aid andCPR trainings for your convenience. Check dates andregister on our website. New trainings are added on a rolling basis!
