• The Manager’s Role– You are the liaison between your team’s parents and coaches.
• It’s better to over communicate. People complain when they do not know what is going on
– You are the business manager, coordinator & administrator– You are not a coach and are not involved in player coaching decisions– Any managerial questions please contact Matt Gagerman– If a problem arises that can not be resolved quickly, please contact David Bradley, VP of
Travel Hockey. – First Time Managers need to be screened. You can do this by coordinating with David
Bradley as he is getting the coaches screened thru AHAI.– All team managers will have to register with USAH this year as a volunteer and forward
your confirmation to Carol Jagadeesh ([email protected]). Registration is FREE. Please do this ASAP. Once your USAH # is input into the program under each specific team, then it is uploaded to AHAI. Within 24 hours each team manager will receive an email from AHAI. Please check your SPAM folder to make sure it does not go there. AHAI will issue a username and password – you can then go into the AHAI website folder and download directly the team’s certified roster (once it is certified). If you have questions, Carol will help you.
– AHAI is how you schedule refs as well as Blackhawk Cup– Rosters are electronic this year so no need to get signatures – yea!
September 9, 2015 Falcons Travel Team Managers Meeting

Jerseys, Warm Ups, and Equipment
• Jerseys
– Jersey and shirt sizing was collected during conditioning skates. If a player requires a new jersey due to size or condition they will be charged $200. In the case of a new player or a number conflict (based on seniority) a new jersey will be supplied.
– When parents are notified that their player makes a team they will be required to respond if they will be ordering jerseys and asked for additional number choices. This will be confirmed with the managers and parents before jerseys are ordered and needs to happen ASAP!!
– Standard Jerseys are the White & Black– I will send out patch placement information this weekend
• Care for your jersey– The FHA are encouraging teams to use jersey bags (or at least hangers) and to not
throw them in the bottom of a smelly hockey bag.– Please wash jersey as needed. We are seeing color damage on jerseys due to lack of
care. Please wash in cold water, gentle cycle & hang dry
• Pants, Gloves, Helmet– Pants must be black– Helmet must be black (with FALCONS sticker on each side)– Gloves Must be black (they may have red & white accents)– This is not optional…if parents have an issue please have them contact Steve Dry.
• Jerseys and Warm Ups– Warm Ups
• Warm Ups are $100.00/set (Jackets $60, Pants $40 sizing was completed during pre conditioning and try out skates)
– Include top and bottom, with embroidered last name and logoon the jacket and embroidered number on the pants
• Warm Ups are mandatory for CSDHL teams for the 2015-16 seasons
• NIHL Travel Teams have the Coach’s option to:– Purchase new set– Wear last years set– Opt for an alternative “team” look
» FHA recommends warm ups• Please collect money via slush fund and submit one
check payable to– Falcons Hockey Association
September 9, 2015 Falcons Travel Team Managers Meeting
• Practice Jersey & Socks• Practice Jerseys, socks, hats and bags are in the refs room. • Take them before you leave. Some have been sorted already some
have not. • If not please put jersey, socks and hats in the bags and pass it out to
your team at the first practice. Bantam and Midgets teams will receive 2 pairs of game socks per player, please save the second set for mid season!
• Coaches will assign practice jersey colors and kids can adjust in the locker room
• We want our game jerseys and socks to be just that “Game Jerseys & Socks”. This will help keep them in the best shape and that will represent the FHA in a positive & professional manner
– We want to positively & professionally represent the FHA any time a Falcon team takes the ice

GLASA Falcons provide competitive and recreational sled hockey to GLASA athletes. Disabilities include amputee, cerebral palsy, paralysis, spina bifida, stroke, visual impairment and more.

GLASA Falcons serve over 50 GLASA athletes each year: Youth Team, Adult Team and Tournament Team. The Tournament Team is comprised of youth and adult players – our 2013 National Champions, Adult Division, USA Hockey’s Disabled Festival in West Chester, Philadelphia. Congratulations GLASA Falcons!!!
GLASA athletes depend on community support to compete. GLASA athletes pay nominal fees – a small portion of the actual cost to compete - and most GLASA athletes are on scholarship because their daily medical expenses leave little or no discretionary income for sports and recreation.
FHA endorses GLASA’s motto: “Let No One Sit on the Sidelines” and encourages all FHA coaches, players and families to get involved.
FHA manages all aspects of the GLASA Falcons, its program and teams: rosters, schedules, uniforms, marketing, fundraising, etc.Julie Davis, Team Manager and FHA’s VP of League Affairs, GLASA Falcons, [email protected] or 847.828.9793
