iNeighborhood Sermon Series by Pastor Carl

Did you know that an estimated 53,000 people

in the U.S will leave a church building this Sun-

day, never to return?

Did you know that Cobb County has a popula-

tion of 730,981? If our demographics are like

“most” counties in urban America, less than ½

know the joy of living daily with Jesus as Sav-

ior. How can we – you and me – make a difference among so many? The

answer ... iNeighborhood.

iNeighborhood serves to bridge the gap for us individually and as a congre-

gation to passionately reach out to our neighbors, touching their lives with

the power of the Holy Spirit by providing robust and exciting resources to

empower and embolden our witness.

Over the next 7 weeks in worship we’ll be looking together at the power

and potential that each of us has reaching out to our neighbors to B L E S S

them in Jesus’ name, starting this Sunday, June 12, 2016.

In week 1, we’ll ask the question, “Who is my neighbor?” Then, over the

following 5 weeks, we’ll follow the acronym “B L E S S” (iBond, iListen,

iEngage, iServe, iShare) to unfold a biblical strategy for each of us to effec-

tively reach out to those in our neighborhood. On the final Sunday, July

24, with the love of Christ compelling us and the Holy Spirit enabling us,

“iGo” will move us to put our faith into action to reach out to our neigh-

bor – one house, one street, one zip code at a time – to make a Gospel dif-

ference!

Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but

the workers are few. Ask the Lord of

the harvest, therefore, to send out

workers into his harvest field. Luke

10:2 (NIV)

By the power of the Holy Spirit, we

are called, sent to serve, share, and

bless our neighbors with God’s love

with the hope of connecting them

to Jesus, in time for eternity.

FAITH CRAFTERS have been busy! Please stop by the LWML room to see all the wonderful crafts we have for sale to raise money for our mission pro-jects.

The Crafters will be meeting in the LWML room on Tuesdays from 10 am to 3 pm (or as long as you can stay) throughout the summer. Anyone in-terested in crafting; quilting, painting, gluing, etc. is welcome to join us. Or bring your own craft to work on. Please bring your own lunch or buy one at a local restaurant. We have a fun time and enjoy the fellowship. If you have any questions please contact Peggy Wagner.
