SERMON NOTES: JESUS CALMS THE STORM

(Mark 4:35-41) Introduction:

REMEMBER IN PRAYER Spotlight Ministry of the Week:

Campus Christian Fellowship (Christian Anderson, Rosa Rodriguez) Prayer Partners this week: Jay & Nellie Hibma (next week: James & Tami Hodge)

Concerns and praises within our family at Faith Special Prayer Requests: - Continued prayer for those struggling with cancer: Shirley Nelson, Mike VanBerkum's brother John, Sienne Ackermann, and Trista Burn. - Our country--prayer for our president and leaders, for righteousness and wisdom for our elected officials in the decisions they make and for peace in our nation and world. - Christy Ledeboer—continued prayer for minimal side effects and an appetite after chemo treatments. Thankful for the prayer support of family and friends. - Carrie Matson--prayer for her and her mom Nancy as Carrie transitions to Hospice Care. Prayer for comfort and strength for both of them as well as for those who care for them. - Rosa Rodriguez Diaz—prayer that the upcoming All Nations Conference will be a meaningful and unforgettable memory! Prayer that she will have a fresh start ministering on another university campus after graduating from SVC this spring. Praise for: - Jeannie Buser (sister of Tom and Rita Buser)—praise for God’s excellent timing! She will be living in an assisted living home. This is a change from an earlier plan of moving back to her home. - Teddy Butcher (son of Nathan & Theresa (Westra) Butcher)—praise that he is home from the hospital! Prayer for his parents and for him as they endure long painful debridement and dressing changes, prayer for no infections, good healing and less pain. They are so thankful to the Lord for how He has provided in so many ways: doctors, medications, how wonderfully our bodies are made and how they can heal and for the family of God upholding them in their prayers! - praise that the family of God can celebrate the birth of new little ones into our fellowship! What a gift it is to celebrate life and extend blessings to others!
