We work full time towards a greener world, because we are very concerned about the way things are going. So, when it came to the house in York, we wanted to provide a holiday home that was as eco-friendly as possible without losing any of its character. We have super- insulated and gradually improved the house so that it is far more economical and environmentally sound, whilst keeping its original features such as the Victorian windows. The house now retains a huge amount of warmth and we keep thinking of new ways to make a difference, whilst ensuring the utmost in comfort. Many people return year after year and say it’s a home from home in a great location.” “We are constantly striving to address the impact of the tourism industry on the environment, providing a real example of what can be done to an older house and promoting the local community.
