• Performed more than 450 lung transplantsand 20 lung-heart transplants. Survival rates exceed nationally established benchmarks.
• The largest and pioneering liver program inthe Mid-South, and the 12th largest in the U.S., having performed more than 2,150 transplants since the program’s inception in 1991.
• One of the highest quality scores among U.S. stem cell transplant programs. One of the largest stem cell programs in the Southeast, with more than 275 stem cell transplants per year.

Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital received an A safety rating. Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt was one of only 10 children’s hospitals in the nation to be named a Leapfrog Top Hospital.
This historic organization recognizes individuals, in a tradition stretching back to 1874, for extraordinary achievements toward the advancement of science or its applications. The School of Medicine has 112 elected fellows.
