The beginnings of EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft mbH go back to 1991 when a unit of the former Chemieanlagenbaukombinat Leipzig-Grimma (CLG) became a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDE-LEANU Gesellschaft mbH Alzenau (RWE) on September 1.
On January 1, 2003 the Leipzig-based office, what is now EDL, was acquired by the globally operat-ing Pörner Group (Austria), and so Leipzig’s 70-year-old tradition of plant engineering and construc-tion lives on.
As a medium-sized company EDL is firmly integrated in the Pörner Group and active in Germany and elsewhere where it has specialized in the areas of:

By over 40 large-size projects EDL has built up a reputation as specialist for refinery revamps. The complex alterations of plants and plant units to be carried out within a short time while the plant is shut down not only require a wealth of ex-perience but also very exact preparations. Thanks to its process competence EDL is capable of quickly grasping the performance requirements, review the same and convert them into a plant engineering process. Adherence to schedule at all times despite tight deadlines and keeping within the client’s budget are qualities that are appreciated by clients.
