MISys ® SBM - Basic Manufacturing Basic Manufacturing provides all the functionality a manufacturing firm needs: inventory control, WIP tracking, multi-level bills of material, BOM revision control, and produc- tion work orders. The base functionality included in MISys Small Business Manufacturing should be sufficient to meet the needs of many small- to medium-sized manufacturing firms. The Basic Manufacturing module provides the following capabilities: Modern easy to use user interface with Microsoft Outlook look and feel and support for automating tedius user tasks,; e.g. can auto-create items when adding lines to Bill of Materials and Purchase Orders Automates many tasks, can auto-create items when adding lines to Bill of Materials and Purchase Orders Extensive tracking of manufacturing inventory and work in process (WIP). Multi-level bills of material with full explosion down to 16 levels deep. Net-change physical inventory with cycle counting. Batch-oriented or direct entry of all stock transfer transactions. • Full back-flushing of all assembly transactions. Choice of standard, average, LIFO, or FIFO costing methods. Cost adjustment with roll-up through all BOM levels. Work orders to document and track production activity. Graphical Gantt chart display of Work Orders over time with ability to drag start and end dates to change their schedule • Configurable personalized alerts to show you critical events and status. Alerts can have associated suggested ‘next tasks’ which takes user directly to needed screen. Extensive reporting using industry-standard report generator (Crystal Re- ports). Record detailed stock status for all inventoried items. Track inventory in multiple locations. Choose decimal precision for fractional quantities and costs. Maintain inventory levels with minimum, maximum, and reorder points. Instantly display transaction history, where-used (BOM implosion), and outstanding order status. Can optionally allow or prevent negative inventory levels Embed detailed item notes, or attach a word processing document and pic- ture to any item record. • Associate a unique set of general ledger accounts with by specific item, job, or location • Transfer manufacturing sub-ledger entries to to the GL at fiscal period end. Maintain resources such as supplies, labor, and overhead. • Identify any number of qualified suppliers and approved manufacturers with any item.
