Fellow Erie County Residents,

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to read our 2012-13 Campaign literature. Another campaign year is upon us and those of us involved with United Way of Erie County are excited at the possibilities this year’s campaign can bring.

Most people, by now, have heard the slogan “LIVE UNITED”. These words are so much more than just a slogan. They are words to live by if we all want to be part of something bigger than ourselves. If we don’t take care of our own, then who will?

I would ask each of you to take the time to read the next page of this brochure. There you will find what United Way of Erie County campaign dollars were able to accomplish this past year…what your campaign donation was able to accomplish this past year. The campaign dollars collected touched so many lives of people in our communities that needed assistance. I think that after you are finished reading the entire next page, you will agree with me that your donation and mine were very worthwhile!

If you are reading this brochure and have not donated to United Way of Erie County, I invite you to do so this year. Every dollar collected means so much to those in need. If you are unable to donate, we offer other ways for you to become involved. Be an advocate for the cause or volunteer your time and energy to United Way or any of the agencies United Way of Erie County funds. We all could use your help.

On behalf of the entire Board of Directors of United Way of Erie County, our staff and our volunteers, I want to thank you for your donation, your advocacy and/or your volunteer efforts. With your assistance we will continue to do our vey best to make Erie County a better place to live and work.

Mark A. Yocum Board President United Way of Erie County
