Numbers 6:22-27The LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron and his

The Power of Love

In a child’s first two years, the desire to experience joy in loving relationships is the most powerful force in life. In fact, some neurologists now say that the basic human need is to be the “sparkle in someone’s eye.”

Wonderfully enough, that innocent, pure desire that begins in childhood continues throughout life.

Life makes sense and is empowered by joy when people are in relationship with those who love them and are sincerely glad to be with them.

Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.

You have filled my heart with greater joy Psalm 4:6-7

The Power of Love

Because joy is relational, it is also a contagious experience. When you’re with someone who “is glad to see me” joy is experienced and returned.

This experience goes back and forth at amazingly fast rates, six cycles per second in a nonverbal, face-to-face exchange – all the time growing stronger ‘joy’ between both people.

into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed ---

The Power of Love

Having enough joy strength is fundamental to a person’s well being. We now know that a ‘joy center’ exists in the right orbital prefrontal cortex of the brain. It has executive control over the entire emotional system.

It releases neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin and is the only part of the brain that overrides the main drive centers – food and sexual impulses, terror and rage.

The joy of the LORD is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10

Face to Face with God!

If you were gazing into the face of your Loving Heavenly Father, what would your expression be?

If you looked into God’s face and saw His delight in you, how would you feel?

The Power of a Look of Love

What if you could see God’s love for you in the face of one of His people?

How would you feel if someone looked at you with delight of your Heavenly Father in their eyes?

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and

his love is made complete in us. 1 John 4:12

Ephesians 3:14-19

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name.

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 1 John 4:12

If we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us. There is no fear in love. But

perfect love drives out fear,1 John 4:12, 18
