Fabrication, assembly and supply of Faraday Cup, HV Deck Conduits, and Test

Jig mounting stand as per the specifications and drawing attached. 1 Set.

1. Scope:- This specification covers the technical requirements for fabrication of various

parts, as per the drawing given, of Faraday Cup, HV Deck Conduits, and Test Jig mounting

stand, its assembly, test and supply of the same to RRCAT, Indore.

2. List of applicable drawings: - The following drawings contain the assembly as well as

detailed drawings of different parts. (Page no. 3 to 8 of this document). The soft copy of

detailed drawing of the same will be given to the successful bidder, while placing the PO.

3. Materials, to be used for fabrication of Faraday Cup, HV Deck Conduits, and

Test Jig mounting stand, and relevant terms and conditions are as follows:-

3.1 SS316L as per IS: ASTM A240

3.2 Alumina AL995 as per IS: ASTM B209 M-14

3.3 All necessary screws/ bolts/ nuts/ washers/ spring washers etc should be of

SS316L/SS304 and should be arranged by party.

3.4 The fabricator/ supplier has to provide test certificate of material used, issued

by the manufacturer of the raw material or certificate issued by reputed govt. or

national laboratory.

4. Welding processes:-

4.1 For mild steel base structure: - Shielded metal tig/arc welding (SMAW)

5. Cleaning and assembly process:-

5.1 All metal parts should be free from oil and dust. Should be assembly in clean

room.

6. Workmanship and cleaning: -

6.1 All workmanship shall be first class high grade quality and accordance with the

best approved methods of fabrication of different components. The surfaces of

fabricated parts should be free from burrs, pits, scratches, weld ripples and scales.

7. Metal part surface buffing/electro polishing:-

7.1 All metal parts sharp-edged should be removed by grinding, and buffing.

Electrode parts surface finish should be done by electro polishing.

8. Inspection Clause:-

8.1 Pre dispatch inspection (PDI) of each part of the Faraday Cup, HV Deck

Conduits, and Test Jig mounting stand, will be carried out. Inspection will be

carried out for variation in material, surface finish, dimensions and geometrical

tolerances shall be as per drawing. Bidder should arrange required instruments in

order to carry out inspection and testing.

8.2 The manufacturer shall be solely responsible for ensuring all the material

properties, dimensional accuracy, surface profile tolerances, quality of various

components and soundness of joints.

9 Assembly work of Faraday Cup, HV Deck Conduits, and Test Jig mounting

stand, at site (RRCAT Indore):-

9.1 Each parts of the Faraday Cup, HV Deck Conduits, and Test Jig mounting stand

have to be assembled by supplier before dispatch at suppliers’ site and also at

RRCAT Indore. (as per the drawing given along with the PO).

10. Acceptance Criteria of assembly of Faraday Cup, HV Deck Conduits, and

Test Jig mounting stand parts:-

10.1 Dimensions of all the components of Faraday Cup, HV Deck Conduits, and

Test Jig mounting stand, assembly shall be as per our given drawings.

10.2 Compatible mounting nut, bolts, screws, or viton”O” rings should be supplied

with assembly.

10.3 Minor change in the drawing/assembly should be done free of cost, after

purchase order release / during PDI.
