FAAWO membership dues are based on the organization’s annual budget. Individual memberships are also available. Rescue groups may join based on budget, or smaller rescues may utilize individual memberships.

Florida Association of Animal Welfare Organizations (FAAWO) is a non-profit membership organization developed to strengthen the animal welfare field. FAAWO’s goals are to unite animal advocates, provide professional growth and education opportunities and maintain a unified voice for animal welfare in the state of Florida.
By offering assistance, exchanging ideas, supporting our colleagues in the compassionate work of saving lives, and uniting our voices on important issues, we can affect change on local and state levels.
FAAWO focuses on best practices for humane organizations and its members work closely to rescue, shelter, rehabilitate and place abandoned and orphaned animals in their forever homes.

Objectives
Florida Association of Animal Welfare Organizations is a state-wide coalition of animal welfare and animal protection agencies and individuals striving to alleviate cruelty and suffering by strengthening the human/animal bond and promoting respect and compassion for all life.
• Work together to raise awareness and address challenges of animal issues
• Establish goals to benefit animal welfare in Florida
• Complement the Florida Association of Animal Control Agencies (FACA)
• Develop an annual training conference
• Create a state-wide information and resource network
• Promote state legislation for the welfare of animals
• Establish committees to focus on specific issues involved in improving animal welfare
• Establish a state-wide response team
• Promote professional animal shelter standards
