On Swachh Bharat Helpline (1969), for all issues related to Swachh Bharat, 5.40lakh calls have been answered with an average handling time of 1 minute 28seconds.A total of 4,340 cities/ towns have been declared as ODF (Open DefecationFree), 2,206 cities have been certified as ODF+ and 551 cities have beencertified as ODF++. An ODF++ city requires to achieve sanitation sustainabilityby addressing complete sanitation, including safe containment, processing anddisposal of faecal sludge and septage. name of "SBM Toilet" covering 55% of urban population.Swachhata App emerged as an important tool to handle Queries specific toCovid 19. The Ministry announced the launch of a revised version of the existingSwachhata-MoHUA App in order to enable citizens to get their COVID-relatedcomplaints also redressed by their respective ULBs. The Swachhata App has atotal of 1.8 crore users, who have posted 2.22 crore complaints, of which 2.08crore complaints have been resolved, with a resolution of above 93%.The number of cities with 5-Star Certification is 6, 3-Star Certification is 86 and 1­Star Certification is 65 under Star Rating Protocol for Garbage Free Cities.Under Swachh Manch, 4,000 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) are involved by postingof 1,52,690 events with more than 7.16 crore citizen's participation.In order to invigorate the spirit of Jan Andolan that SBM-U is, and to keepcontributing to vision of Swachh Bharat by practising Swachhata habits, acampaign 'Main bhi Swachhata Superstar' was developed and disseminatedSkill Development Trainings of Safaimitras have been started in 17 cities ofMaharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh under SafaimitraSuraksha Challenge. 769 Safaimitras have already completed training. Furtherrequirement of 6,726 of trainees to be trained has been received from 103 ULBsacross 13 States/UTs.260 cities have operationalized '14420' helpline number for safe cleaning ofseptic tanks/sewers & registering complaints on hazardous cleaning.

II. Smart Cities Mission (SCM)

i. During the month 71 projects worth 1,607 crore have been completed, workhas been started on 78 projects worth z 9, 17 crore. So far 5,470 projects worth1,72,528 crore have been tendered, work orders have been issued for 4,707projects worth 1,38,352 crore out of which 2,301 projects worth 38,920 crorehave been completed.

ii. Hon'ble Minister (I/C) of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Shri HardeepSingh Puri, and Hon'ble Minister of Electronics and Information Technology(MeitY), Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad during an event held on February, 2021launched following digital initiatives:

• National Urban Digital Mission (NUDM): It will create a shared digitalinfrastructure that can consolidate and cross-leverage the various digitalinitiatives of MoHUA. It will be operationalized at both the national and the statelevel and enable the digital transformation of urban governance in 2022, ULBsby 2022, and in all cities by 2024

• Smart Cities 2.0 website: In order to better connect with people on the SmartCities Missions and to make it easier for ULBs and citizens to access resourcesrelated to their work, the Smart Cities Mission website has been redesigned toserve as a single stop for all Smart Cities initiatives. The website drivesconvergence by fetching information from relevant platforms.

• India Urban Data Exchange(IUDX): It has been developed by Smart CitiesMission in partnership with Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. It serves as aseamless interface for data providers and data users, including ULBs, to share,request, and access datasets related to urban governance and urban servicedelivery in a secure, authenticated manner amongst various platforms. The pilotversion of the platform was deployed in Bengaluru and Pune, and theproduction version has since gone live in Pune, Surat, and Varanasi.

• Smart Code: It is a platform that enables all ecosystem stakeholders tocontribute to a repository of open-source code for various solutions andapplications for urbangovernance. It is designed to address the challenges thatULBs face in the development and deployment of digital applications.SmartCode leverages MeitY's OpenForge platform to host the code. Thismakes all code on the platform inherently sharable and re-usable. It alsoencourages integration across multiple existing digital building blocks, such asGeM & Digilocker.

Ill. Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT)

i. State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) have been finalized for all the states forz77,640 crore. As on date, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) have been approvedfor the projects costing 81,268 crore. Some States have taken up projects inexcess of their approved SAAPs. Entire excess amount in such cases will beborne by the States/ULBs. Works have been completed for 3,346 projects worth16,797 crore, work is in progress for 2,320 projects worth 62,126 crore. Inaddition to completed projects, physical work worth about 31,768 crore hasbeen completed in ongoing AMRUT projects implying that more than 63% ofphysical work has been completed.

ii. So far, 30,539 crore has been released to States/UTs towards projectimplementation (including the eligible projects of erstwhile JnNURM),Administrative & Office Expenses (A&OE), reform incentive, and under sub­schemes on 'Formulation of GIS based Master Plans in AMRUT cities' and 'LocalArea Plan (LAP) and Town Planning Schemes (TPS)' in 25 selected cities.

iii. With the announcement of 'Jal Jeevan Mission (Urban)' in the Union Budget on01.02.2021, first Sensitization-cum-consultation workshop' was held throughvideo conference with all States/UTs on 23.02.2021

IV. Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana /National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY/NULM)

i. 7,733 Self Help Groups (SHGs) have been formed; 10,496 SHGs were givenRevolving Fund; 11,950 candidates were skill trained and certified; 2,848 trainedcandidates were given placement; 12,386 beneficiaries were assisted with loansfor setting up of individual and micro enterprises and 2,303 loans were given toSHGs under SHG-Bank linkage programme.

ii. A total of z 90.60 crore under DAY-NULM scheme and 9.87 crore under PMSVANidhi scheme have been released during the month.

iii. Under PM Street Vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PMSVANidhi), 37,98,835applications have been received against which 20,89,469 sanctions and15,66,313 disbursals have been made.

V. Pradan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)/Housing for All (HFA)

i. Since the inception, Mission has sanctioned 1.10 crore houses against thevalidated demand of 1.12 crore houses. 71.5 lakh houses have been groundedfor construction of which 42.01 lakh houses have been completed/delivered.

ii. A total of 5999.23 crore has been released during the month.

VI. Housing.

i. 34 States/ UTs have notified rules under RERA; One North Eastern State namelyNagaland is under process to notify the rules under RERA. West Bengal hasenacted its own legislation, which has been challenged before Supreme Courtand MoHUA has filed its affidavit to annul it.

ii. 30 States/UTs have set up Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Regular - 25,Interim - 05).

iii. 26 States/UTs have set up Real Estate Appellate Tribunal (Regular -19, Interim ­07).

iv. Regulatory Authorities of 27 States/UTs have operationalized their websitesunder the provisions of RERA.

v. So far, 64,091 complaints (including 2,488 complaints during the month) havebeen disposed of by the Real Estate Regulatory Authorities across the country

vi. So far, 60,905 projects and 48,080 agents have been registered under RERA.1008 projects and 1056 agents have been registered during the month.
