LNG carrier business was conducted by Cometco Shipping Inc., a subsidiary within HITS Group, in cooperation with Mitsui OSK Lines, Japan. In addition to operating the LNG Ekaputra, Cometco also manages 3 ships owned by other parties. Ekaputra is an LNG tanker with a length of 290 meters and a size of 137.000 CBM, built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. in Nagasaki, Japan, and had been chartered by PT Pertamina (Persero) since january 10, 1990. HITS believed, the implementation of regular maintenance programs in accordance with industry's standards, including docking, will ensured the quality and reliability of the Ekaputra.

PETROCHEMICAL CARRIER

Petrochemical carrier vessel is managed by PT HTK. The fact that Indonesia's chemical industry is growing rapidly, which makes petrochemical a potential market, is unavoidable. This condition caused an increase in petrochemical vessels demand. It is an opportunity that needs to be taken by PT HTK in years to come by providing larger fleets specialized to transport chemical around the country.

OIL CARRIER

The oil carrier service business line is managed by PT HTK. Currently, PT HTK manages 2 units of oil carrier vessels with DWT ranging from 1.300 to 18.000 Metric Tons. PT HTK focused its business on improving the quality of transportation services, including service quality and safety aspects. All oil tankers owned by PT HTK have obtained a time charter contract with PT Pertamina (Persero) for a charter period of between 1 and 2 years, including extension options.

PT HTK has obtain certification of ISO 9001:2008 No. IDN21130002 and OHSAS 18001:2007 No. IDN03130001 from Bureau Veritas for management service for ship and offshore shipping, ship chartering and marketing services.

OFFSHORE & HARBOUR SUPPORT VESSEL

One of PT HTK's subsidiaries also manages the business line of Offshore and Harbour Support Vessels. Currently, this line of business consist of Harbour Tugs and Mooring Boat management. As support vessels, Harbour Tugs and Mooring Boats have the main function of assisting the process of berthing and unberthing LNG carriers to and from FSRU.

MINING BULK

The Mining Bulk business line is managed by PT HTC, managing 18 sets of tugs and barges. In running its operation, PT HTC always prioritizing optimal services from preparation to ready-made fleet. Crew management services is managed by PT MCS lnternasional (herein after referred to as PT MCSI). PT MCSI is a subsidiary of PT HTC, in the field of ship manning services and crew training services.

Along with the continued increase in the national merchant fleet, the shipping prospects extended to be promising with the increasing demand for ship's crews. At this moment, the growth in seafarers is not yet balanced with the ships growth. Services of providing and managing crew possessing good quality and personality for ships are a niche market that currently is still a wide-open door in the shipping industry, for which, reliability in the process of screening, selecting and procuring the crews is required. Crew management does not stop in procurement, but also reaches ship operations, maintenance, insurance, surveys, repairs, purchases of logistics and other things needed in the operation of the ship.

PT MCSI as the Manning Agent has been succesfully certified and registered under Class NK for the following International Standards Rules as under ISO 9001 :2008 No. 13-583 for the Quality Management System, Statement of Compliance for MLC 2006 (The Maritime Labour Convention, 2006) No. MLC-DMLC-SRPSP-022 and certificate of Seafarer Recruitment & Placement Service Providers with No. 13-022.

SOFT SKILL

TRAINING CENTRE Training Centre managed by PT MCSI to be operated in cooperation with Trilogi University (Formely STEKPI-School of Business and Management).

With the support from Trilogi University, located in a strategic place, PT MCSI belived Training Centre will be able to develop as much as possible in order to build the skills of the crews. The Instructors, highly experienced in LNG vessels, have been prepared after the TOT IMO Model Course by 6.09 BPDSM of Ministry Sea Transportation.

PT MCSI has developed Soft Skill Training Centre since October 7, 2009. Improving the crews' competitiveness in regard of communica­tion, problem solving and leadership. Soft Skills are divided into three level; namely basic, intermediate and advance.

Outdoor training is given in the form of simulation game and every game is defined by a trainee customized by the needs of each Company.

HUMAN RESOURCES

In the human resources management, the employees of HITS consists of office employees and offshore employees. To improve the competence of each employee in their working environment, HITS and its subsidiaries adopted a strategy to create qualified human resources through employees' welfare. HITS has been preparing a series of training programs that focus on the effort of improving employee competence and development, including implementing stabilization of techniques and transfering knowledge.

CORPORATE SOSIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Not only acting as a company business, in terms of moral, HITS has also performed its obligation towards social surroundings and environment. HITS strongly believe that the existence of a company will be accepted by the public when there is a balance between the work and implementation of Social Responsibility programs to the Community.
