2. Adheretorecommendationswhenreplacementfasteners,retainersandkeepersarecalledoutintheOEmanual.
3. Largerrimandtirecombinationsmayincreaseleverageonsuspension,steering,andrelatedcomponents.Whenselectingcombi-nationslargerthanOE,considertheadditionalstressyoucouldbeinducingontheOEandrelatedcomponents.
4. Postsuspensionsystemvehiclesmayexperiencedrivelinevibrations.Anglesmayrequiretuning,slideronshaftmayrequirereplacement,shaftsmayneedtobelengthenedortrued,andU-jointsmayneedtobereplaced.

1. Parkthevehicleonaclean,flatsurfaceandblocktherearwheelsforsafety.
2. Raisethefrontofthevehicleandsupportwithjackstandsateachframerailbehindthelowercontrolarms.
3. Removethefrontwheels.
4. Measurethelengthofthetorsionbaradjusterbolts(topoftheadjusterboltheadtoadjuster)
5. Removetheadjusterbolts,keepdriver'sandpasssideboltsseparate.
6. Markthetorsionbarsforlocationandposition.
7. Usethetorsionbarremovaltooltoremovethethreadedadjusterassembly.Releasethepressurefromtorsionbarwiththeunloadingtool.Caution: There is an extreme amount of energy stored in the torsion bars. Use extreme care with the proper tools to avoid serious injury or death.
8. Slidethetorsionbarsforwardtoallowthekeystoberemoved.Itmaybeneces-sarytouseanairhammertogetthebarstobreakfree.
9. Removethesixbolts(3perside)mountingthetorsionbarcrossmembertotheframe.Figure 1Removethecrossmemberfromthevehicle.Savecrossmemberandhardware.

43. EnsuretheCVshaftisseatedproperlyinthehub,installtheCVshaftnutandtorqueto190ft-lbs.InstalltheCVshaftnutretainerandcotterpin.
44. LocateandinstalltheprovidedCVshaftspacersbetweenthefactoryCVaxleshaftandthedifferentialoutputflanges.FastentheCVshaftandspacerstothedifferentialwith12mmx45mmboltsand12mmflatwashers.Figure 15UseLoctiteontheboltthreadsandtorqueto60ft-lbsinacrossingpattern.

RoutetheABSwireupthefrontsideoftheknuckle,throughthecontrolarmanduptotheconnectorattheinnerfender.ReconnecttheABSwireconnector.SecuretheABSwiretothebackoftheknucklewiththeprovidedwireclip,1/4"x3/4"bolt,lockwasherandflatwasher.Tightenboltto8-10ft-lbs.UsesuppliedziptiestosecuretheremainingportionoftheABSwireasneeded.

47. Attachtheprovidedbrakelinerelocationbrackettotheoriginalbrakelinemountingholeontheframe.Looselyfastenwiththefactorybolts.
48. Carefullyreformthebrakehardlinestoallowfromthebrakelinetoattachtotherelocationbracket.Itmaybenecessarytoreformthehardlineatthecaliperslightlyaswellasthefactorybracket.Fastentotherelocationbracketwitha1/4"nutandwasher.Figure 16Tightenallhardwaresecurely.

54. Lightlylubricateandinstallthenewbushingsandsteelsleevesintotheeyeofthenewswaybarlinks.Installthelinksinthenewbracketatthelowercontrolarmandfastenwiththeprovided9/16"x2-3/4"bolts,nutandwashers.Torquehardwareto90ft-lbs.
55. Installaprovidedstemwasherthenastembushingonthetopendsoftheswaybarlinks.Alignthelinkswiththeswaybarholesandslidetheswaybaruntoboththelinks.Installasecondstembushingandthenawasherontheswaybarlinkends.Fastentheassemblieswiththeprovided7/16"nylocknuts.Tightennutsjustuntilthebushingsbegintoswell.Figure 18

2. Performsteeringsweeptoensurefrontbrakehoseshavead-equateslackanddonotcontactanyrotating,mobileorheatedmembers.Inspectrearbrakehosesatfullex-tensionforadequateslack.Failuretoperformhosecheck/replacementmayresultincomponentfailure.
3. Performheadlightcheckandadjustment.
4. Re-torqueallfastenersafter500miles.Alwaysinspectfastenersandcomponentsduringroutineservic-ing.
