After application the silicone cures with atmospheric moisture to form a durable rubber seal. Aquarium silicone has excellent adhesion to glass without a primer. SA Aquarium is non toxic to fish when fully cured. For selecting glass thickness of the sides and the bottom of the fish tank we refer to DIN 32622. As a joint thickness between the sides and the bottom, 1-2mm is advised. Finish internal angles as a triangular joint of 3-5mm depending on the water level. The sealant must be fully cured, curing time up to one week before it can be transported or filled with water. After curing of the sealant, rinse the aquarium several times with water before put into use. Surface preparationAll surfaces must be clean, dry, sound, and free from dust, oil, rust, or any other contamination. Metal should be cleaned with a non-oily solvent. Solvent should be wiped from the surface with a clean dry cloth. Use an alcohol such as methylated spirits on glass. When used on remedial work all existing sealant must be removed.

Storage/Shelf lifeThe Shelf Life of SA Aquarium Sealant is 12 months if stored in a cool dry place. The storage temperature should not exceed 25°C as this will decrease shelf life.

Health and safetyThis product emits Acetic Acid whilst curing. Use in well ventilatedarea and avoid breathing in vapour. Avoid contact with skin, eyesand mouth. If in eyes, immediately � ush with water for 15 minutes.If irritation persists seek medical attention. Remove contact lensesbefore using sealant. Do not handle lenses until all sealant has beenremoved from � ngertips and nails. Residual sealant may remain on� ngers for several days and transfer to lenses and cause eye irritation.Avoid contact with skin and clothing. MSDS available on request

LimitationsSA Aquarium is not recommended for use with concrete, marble,galvanised steel, lead surfaces, or the � xing or mirrors without themanufactures approval. Do not use on submerged joints where poroussubstrates permit water to the bond interface. Cannot be painted, aspaint will not adhere to sealant. Not for use on some laminated glassor certain rubber products where bleeding of plasticiser may occur
