Overall Assessment• Academic (P)

– Not strong academically, but resources to improve DRASTICALLY if used appropriately

• Military (P)– Average overall. Room to improve. Focus on drill and utilizing COC to create

more effective inspections; maintain professional standards for training of 4th class cadets

• Physical Effectiveness (P)– Overall, good. Utilize physically fit leaders to raise standards of average/below

average cadets

• Moral/Ethical(T)– Excellent; stay vigilant for alcohol issues and potential honor violations; stamp

out any perceived gender discrimination/corps squad hatred

Academic Assessment

• Strengths– Senior Class/Academic Officer = Strong– Excellent Guard Schedule format– ESP environment = good

• Weaknesses– Rising Sophomore Class GPA is low (2.7)– Not everyone studies in their room during ESP– Tutoring/other resources not maximized

• Strengths– Extremely professional 4th Class Training

• Needs attention to 4 Class System

– MRIs– SMIs

• Weaknesses– 4th Class Violations (only 2, but 2 too many)– Alcohol abuse– Parade performance (9th Overall)– Personal Appearance issues– Weekend Duty

• Continue professional training environment

• Continue frequent MRIs (year-round)

• Improve Company Drill– Individual Company Drill– Increase individual/company motivation

• Better use of PLs, PSGs, Squad Leaders

• Better Weekend Duty training

Physical Effectiveness Assessment

• Strengths– 8th in CPFT Score– 5th in Pass Rate (1st in 2nd Battalion)– Only 2 returning deficient cadets (0 Ht./Wt.)– Lots of military contracts– Currently 3rd in BOV standings– Strong overall pride

• Weaknesses– 2 Failures (2 too many)– No system for deficient cadets– Morning PT is not taken seriously by many

• Mondays are hard when missing contracted cadets

Physical Effectiveness Pillar Strategy

• Get to 100% CPFT pass rate (95.7% this semester)– Utilize physically fit leadership to invest time in

deficient cadets OUTSIDE of remedial PT

• Better use of Regimental PT time– More planning by PSGs/PLs leading PT– More discipline within ranks, especially from UC

cadets

Moral-Ethical Assessment

• Strengths– Strong overall climate

• Concerning HVs, Hazing, 4th Class Majors

– Strong community service efforts– Great overall cohesion within the company

• Weaknesses– Alcohol issues– Few “rotten apples” honor-wise– Isolated instances of gender prejudice– Isolated instances of Corps Squad prejudice
